The road now moves around the player's car, and not the other way around (just like in the original Lotus games). Here's some animated goodness:

It's now faster, because I made some optimizations along the way

It runs between 61 and 78 FPS (depending on how many road segments it has to draw). Thanks for the compliments, you guys are kind really

I loved playing Lotus Turbo Challenge (or something like that) on my old Amiga 600. I loved that game -- especially the music. :lol:

Personally, I like the car to move side to side a little bit. It requires a little bit more hand to eye coordination. Hence, it makes the game more fun to play. B)

Are you going to add a few more sprites that depict the actual turning of the car?

I definitely will, I just didn't get to it just yet. There's gonna be a lot of work on sprites now that I think about it

I plan to make it like Hiways and have a modular engine that allows the player to choose any AI car.
