Note: This is a finished Project
So this is the Official Snake-Hunters-discussion-Thread
First of all; Snake Hunters is
no
classic Snake game.
The major game-objects is that one Snake has to catch another one - on different maps which will probably be saved in Pics. The game uses xLIB (for speed and some effects) and you'll also see some
blue lightnings
(Not on *unmodified* 83+ calcs because the LCD is different o.o
).
*Note: *xlib required* - plz install first
Check the Readme for help!
The latest version (1.0) (with some kind of a bot)
is included as an attachment

I wish xlib blue effect by shifting contrast very fast did worked on 83+ (I dunno for new 83+), much easier to make cross compatible game, I'll move this project asap to project section ^^

I've got to try this! Is bluescale in the demo? I'm sad no one is doing anything with it.
I wish to incorporate blue in one of my prog's someday. But I need to make a program first.

No, it's not like grey-scale because you can just make the whole screen blue or nothing. (I use the contrast-commands from xlib
)
And yes, the demo also includes this feature - check out the intro!
Oh, I'm sorry - the game doesn't really work yet because the game doesn't check if you catch the other snake
- but this is already included so that I'll just have to upload it so you can test it.
-I'll inform you here when a new version is available.
p.s.: Why did you remove CDI's post???

I removed it because it was kinda rude (written in big 24px blue fonts)

I'll wait for demo 2 then. ^^
lolje (and anyone else who can get blue working): run the loop on a ZStandard graphscreen with Shade(.1X^2-10,-.1X^2+10

oh, btw on a normal 83+
(on those ones most of you probably still own) it'll just show up a white lightning instead of a blue one. I know those not-83+-stuff suckz , but it's possible and not negativa for 83+ owners - so I integrated it.
sorry to 83+ owners - It's just a little effect so don't be angry
I'll test this trick with shape soon...

kalan_vod (and CDI) please tell us it would be cool to make our games cross compatible
I tried Lolje routine on my calcs and I worked on 83+SE but on 83+ it showed a weird gray waterfall effect. It's a very old TI-83+ tho (about 4.5 years old)
