Team Battles

Hello, there kind sirs,
I have came up with a new contest idea simular to that of cage matches but will be running at the same time as it with no conversing between the two. I present you... TEAM BATTLES!
Description
: Basically, the point of this contest is to let people participate in a team project, and verse another team at the same time. The reason for this contest? There apparently has been an activity spike here at omnimaga; yesterday, for the first time ever we had 100 people logged on at the same time -- a HUGE milestone for the present Omnimaga community. To meet up with demand for people eager to enter a programming contest to display their skills, team battles will challenge 4 PEOPLE at one time to see how well the can code, and more importantly how well they can work with a team of fellow omnimagians.
Contestants per match
: 4 total; 2 teams consisting of 2 people each.
How the deadlines work
: After both teams accept the challenge, and I the judger announces the beginning of the coding period, the two teams will have 1 week to finish their project and have a representative turn it in to me via PM by no later than 12 PM eastern standard time on the deadline day.
Judging
: Both teams will be evaluated by me and two other judges, picked prior to the match based on skill and ability to criticise constructively. The evaluation will be in 3 sections: one section to award up to 10 points based on how well the programmers worked in their team, based on the final source documents and forum posts. Another section will be awarding a total of 9 points split between the teams -- 3 points are awarded to a team for each vote a judge makes on their favorite product. The last section will be a community poll, where each vote for a team's product will award that team with 1 point. The winning team of the match will face a newly assembled team, and the losing team will be given complementary userbars (losers out system)
Rewards for winning
: The losing team will win complementary userbars while the winning team will be given ultra flashy coolio winner userbars, the Forge award, and a possibility of other random prizes that somehow correlate to the match subject.

z80 BASIC....means TI BASIC, right? You might want to change that since most people see 'z80' and read 'assembly' when in that context (I know I do), so they might get confused

That's too bad, as I'm sure any team would love to have your experience on their side

Well I meant that z80, when you're talking about a programming language, usually refers to the stuff that is coded on the computer (calc84, Iambian, etc.) and runs really fast, but is super hard to code. TI BASIC is the oncalc language that is much worse than z80 assembly in terms of speed and graphics, but is a lot easier. So when I see z80 and BASIC put next to each other, I get a little confused. I know what you mean but for others it might be unclear
(I know z80 also refers to the type of processor on the calc...and I thought the Nspire does ARM?)

i'm not going to participate in this because i know how i structure my programs, and having to work with two other people would definitely throw me off.

I think i will join if we get enough participants, but remember you also need judges
So thats 9 people altogether participating, 6 contestants and 3 judges. Lets hope everybody joins! ^^

I'll nominate DJ to be a judge, that takes care of one --I'm sure he'll do it
EDIT: I hope I didn't take advantage of you DJ, I realized that signing you up prematurely is very unfair, jut editing this in before it makes a bad impact

obviously, this isn't attracting people's interests. Does anybody have a suggestion that I can change part of the contest to make it more appealing?

I'll sign you up for BASIC -- the calc you decide to use doesn't matter as long it's in the list (which in this case, it is
)
