Idk either so much. I think Qwerty wanted to make a joke about how deadlines are always 12am (like the axe parser contest) and how people stay up late to submit their entries last minute or something

Oh ok, although I wasn't getting the Obama reference. :P

But it's true that most people wait at the last minute. For Omnimaga contest, 12 of the 13 entries were submitted during the last 24 hours before the announced deadline. I was getting scared the contest was gonna be an epic failure.

Not only was my entry submitted less than 5 minutes from the end of the contest, but I started on it only 6 hours before. :P

lol I meant that since it didn;t make fun of obama it wasn't funny -- and I was joking too :P

Yeah it might be best to be careful. Even in Canada people can have strong political views. Unfortunately with politics some people won't accept that other people have different opinions so it's a good idea to try to not instigate a political debate on a random forum on the internet. :P
