[84+CSE] Legand of Zelda: Sord of Atari

A game coming directly from hell for the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition ONLY. With this game you can now experience Zelda gaming like if you were high, but without the need of drugs!



However, game might cause extreme brain damage and eye cancer, so be careful when playing!

Note: This game is meant as a parody of three things: #1: The many crappy games that flooded  ticalc.org archives years ago (although there are plenty of good ones). #2: Their English, in most cases, along with the one found in Zero Wing for Sega Genesis. #3: Poorly made fan games of popular franchises. This is why this game (and its English) is that bad. I am unsure if it's even possible to make a Zelda game worse than this. Now it just needs extremely loud pitched up music like in Sanic The Hegehog.

This is definitely going on my 84PCSE as soon as I get home :)

Yeah, I know this part. Even before I had my 83+ (first calc !), I was browsing downloading websites such as ticalc to find a Pokemon game and thought "yea there are many of them". Lol, I can't tell you how I was disappointed when I downloaded :P
At least there is a good side in this: I wanted Pokemon so bad that I got into programming to code it myself :D

Trying to get a decent one now, although none of my cameras seems to have enough batteries D:, and I lack a ROM to emulate the calc (not even sure if jsTified and TilEm supports 160x240 mode anyway).

How fast does it run?
Between 0.04 and 0.07 FPS, depending of how many monsters there are on the screen.







However I am kidding, so it's actually 4-7 FPS :P

I thought of exactly the same thing.

DJ, by chance, is the character of Dave Strider from Homestuck based on you? Because it's totally something Dave would make if he started calc programming.

There is a rainbow flashy animation after exiting the 8th dungeon before the final sequence occurs

Also lol although it is ASCII, an actual ASCII art game could look much better than this :P. This game literally just use BackGroundOn + space characters (life bar and Link, which are white rectangles, along with the floor, which are space characters too set to a color that has a gray background) with barely any actual character.

If only 84+CSE BASIC allowed you to change the background color...

That will be hard to beat this Zelda game. :P

However, just so that we keep a certain decency minimum, it should exclude menu-based games. That would be cheating D:

Anyway I wouldn't participate since I'm experimenting with Pt-On sprites right now, and to my surprise, if you don't specify any argument for shape, color works! :D
