Thanks! I'm doing some more work on it right now. I found a few more symbols after dumping the entire character set and look forward to adding them in.

As for Chinese characters, I found there are many differences between os 2.1 and os 3.0, since two os have different fonts of Chinese, so the character map of chinese must be different in os 3.0. By the way it's really a mess for Chinese characters on Nspire...

Hopefully this shall be useful for a bunch of people around here.

@Northern_Slow and Chinese characters took like 800 KB of memory in the OS, right?

I've dumped and looked through the entire TI-Nspire character set, but I haven't ever seen any Chinese characters in the TI-Nspire system. Is there a special version of it that includes them?

I've also updated Charmap to include 6 more symbols that I found by searching the entire character set.

I've attached the new version and am submitting it to the archive.

If I am not mistaken, the Chinese Language stuff was removed from OS 3.0 (TI produces a "Chinese Language" edition of the Nspire CX, see TI's china website for more info)

GB, I did not approve your file because only .ZIP files are allowed in the archives and you didn't include a readme.txt.

Please upload a zip file in a post so I can replace your file. I do not do it myself because then everyone will take that for granted.

Thank you.

Oh what? That is not true! I download the latest OS 3.0 from education.ti.com the USA site. And it supports Chinese perfectly. The last two choices in the language list are Chinese. Try char(a large number) and you can find a lot.

On 2.0, I dumped the entire character set (about 70,000 symbols) and found no Chinese symbols. I guess they must have not been included. Once 3.0 isn't a bunch of problems, I'll search again for Chinese symbols.

Chinese characters were added in 2.1.
