Houston we have a problem.
« on: September 26, 2008, 06:10:21 pm »
It appears Omnimaga has 5 grayscale programming kits now :o. When updating the archives I remembered Kalan_Vod and CDI also each had their own kit released here. In addition to my 2004 Omnicalc tutorial, the one I am working on with Nitacku for xLIB and the 8 level grayscale routines for ASM by calc84maniac that makes 5 total O.O. I didn't realised we had that many. Now I hope people won't get confused about which one is the new tutorial when we release it lol x.x

I'M not planning to delete any old gs packages. All uses different techniques to draw the gray and despite being less efficient or using outdated softwares they can still be good for some stuff. That was just weird though when I saw this x.x

For sure the one we're working on will be called something like "Omnimaga Grayscale Kit For xLIB & Celtic" so people know this is really the official omnimaga kit to date

yesterday, i don't even have the slightest clue how it happened...i didn't drop it or anything. Do you think this is part of the calc warranty. This calc was bought about half a year ago.

Ouch I hope you still have the warranty/receipt. Get it back to the store if you do because it must be defect if it broke after such short period of time. Did you tried reinstalling the OS yet though (if you can see the Waiting... Please Install calculator software now screen)?

ok well then it must be the calc that has a problem because I dropped my 2 calcs a few times before and used them a lot and for one of them it only took 3 years (link port) and the other it only took 5 years (extreme fast battery eating while calc is turned OFF). before I get trouble with them. And that's if it was even caused by dropping it. I would suggest getting another one in exchange.

Sorry about your calc...

I laugh at the thought of "my" GS program haha, glad to see you start to inspire people back when you really developed GS for basic games..And still today!

Oh that was meant to be a parody of all number guessing games on ticalc.org. The point was to mock the lack of originality in ticalc.org archives. In 2000 ticalc staff did it with Wacky Fun Random Numbar Generator 1.000069 (there was even a fake news posted) but I took it further by overdoing it graphical wise and dragging down gameplay quality to extreme crappiness.

It was also a shot at the mentality some people have by thinking that all that matters in a game is graphics :P
