oh :'(We're a dying breed i guess
is it just me or did Deept Thought now post that?
Back in the day it was crazy over at ticalc. When the archivers started making categories it was a major help. And I agree on the ratings, it was a cool idea but got abused. People would downrate something because it wasnt as good as they thought it should be. When back then and now they dont realize how hard it was to get some of the awesome programs as good as they are.

Now this trend seems to be coming back, but everything is categorized better. As for ratings, an example of how much they are abused: TI-Boy SE is rated around 7. I am sure of the reasons why:-People don't read the readme and try the program on their missing RAM pages 84+. They see it doesn't work and think it's the program that is a hoax. 1/10 rating out of frustration.-People expect a perfect GB emu running at 100% speed. They don't think about the fact it's just a calculator. In response to this, they rate the program 1/10.-People have troubles converting ROMs. Instead of asking help, they simply give the program 1/10 rating, with the excuse that it doesn't work at all.

Like that one review that trashed DoorsCS
