Run Lua on the Nspire ? Transfer existing Lua documents suitable for Nspires (under TNS format) to your Nspire, and open them :)
Such Lua documents can be created, for instance, with Luna.

How do I do that? Do I need TI-Nspire Student Software?

TI-Nspire Computer Link Software, TI-Nspire Computer Software, or TILP II 1.16 beta do the job.

JOKER gbc4nspire also runs GBC games and there's a NES emulator too. I bet a SNES or Sega Genesis emu could be done, but N64 would probably be out of the question. Also those have to be done in ASM or C, because Lua is just too slow for them.

And yes student software can do it, assuming  you got a recent version.

By the way is TILP II 1.16 beta compatible with the CX?

I wanted gbc4inspire but i thought it only worked with ndless? And yes I think I have the most recent version of student software.

Yes it only works with ndless. There's no way to use gbc4nspire/ndless on OS 3.x as of now and there probably won't for at least the next few months, that's for sure.

Yup, it can transfer OS (which TINCLS can do, IIRC) and take screenshots (which TINCLS definitely cannot do). But for instance, TILP II 1.16 Beta still chokes on nested folders, and that is not so easy to fix.

JOKER: what about checking the documentation of the programs (TINCLS, TINCS, TILP II 1.16 beta) mentioned by DJ and I ? ;)

You just need OS 3.0.X. Lua programs are native to the Nspires. so Just download any .tns file with a script made in Lua and you're good to go.

Let's try with this game :
1) Download it : Pacman Lua
2) Open Student Software for example, and open the .tns file you've just dowloaded.
3) You can already play on the emulator ! ;)
4) To transfer on your calc :
* File>Save on the handheld (or something like this.. It's in french for me.) (after making sure it is pluged :p)
* Select the device
* Select the folder and the name of the file.
* Click OK ! :)

And then you can play on your calc ! ;)
