I already did, but TI wants us to use 2.55 MP. Also, I feel much happier using 2.43. Also, the TI-83+SE looks a lot better than the TI-84+SE.

Other than crappy bugs (Enter a fraction in math print and multiply it by another fraction, it glitches the whole screen and needs a ram reset to fix)
Why is math print bad?

I think it's because it slows the device extremely much down, and introduces bugs causing the device to be less stable.

It causes some strange errors with some ASM programs (mostly display issues, I think) and causes slowdowns sometimes. Some of the slowdowns were related to using Outuput with BASIC. At least one command that had unintended secondary effects was changed. There was one BASIC command used with Text sprites which programmers used to reset one of the system flags. After the update it no longer affected the flag.  I think there was a thread somewhere around here summing things up, but basically they did a quick hack job to implement the features IIRC and the results were that it was buggy.

The TI-83+SE has no MathPrint OS because of its slower cousin TI-83+BE, so although you could just use 2.43, TI is never going to release MP for the 83+. Not to mention that the 83+SE looks better than the 84+SE.

Also, you use zStart? Have you experienced any crashes while using it?

Yeah, you can just avoid MathPrint by putting OS 2.43 on a 84+SE, where is the problem ? ???
Also, the 84+SE has interchangeable faceplates ;)
(but they are sold separately)

There is really little difference between the two. The 83+SE has a clear casing. The 84+SE has a mini USB port and a real time clock. That's really about it.
