New TI-Nspire CX-C CAS and TI-Nspire CM-C... Poor
« on: August 02, 2011, 02:50:20 am »
TI China site shows two new kinds of NSpire... CX-C CAS and CM-C...for Chinese users...
It says CX-C CAS will have an e-dictionary in the next OS. And CM-C has only 32MB RAM.

I don't think the white one looks nice. And as for the dictionary... I really don't think it can help ti get more market shares in China. :P

Hmm interesting, I wonder if it uses a similar OS and hardware besides those changes... so it could maybe be hacked as well in the future?

TI Agent said TI-NSpire CX CAS can install that kind of OS which has dictionary.

I wonder if it is in stores here (china)? I have been looking for ti calcs, but Casio seems to dominate the market.

Either way, I had no idea they made separate products for China, or is this the first time?

I think this is the first time, but they have several calculators models that are intended for France, so the idea of having calcs for specific countries isn't new.

That Nspire CM certainly looks quite different from the CX! :O

I wonder if we will eventually see a CM release in the US, too (or elsewhere in the world).

EDIT:  Apparently, there is a CX-C model of both the non-CAS and CAS models.  Might the CM be a lower cost version of the CX????? (less memory)

Thank you for the information.
I've newsed about the new TI-Nspire CX-C. (the TI-Nspire CM-C is going to get a separate news)

http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=news&ac=commentaires&id=1261

I've also extracted the full-size images from the so called "3D" Flash view on TI website. Feel free to reuse them.

And of course, I've linked here. :)

Apcalc -> check the exams at which the CM-C is accepted and you should understand "why" it does exist. ;)

wow, I actually think the CM looks better.  I also wonder what TI is planning with this.  Probably trying to use the CM to compete with the Prizm's price.
