Alrighty, time to let everyone know. (Forgot that I only told DJ.)

As much as I hate to admit it... I can't program an RPG alone.
I have the coding ability... but a good RPG requires so much more than that.
I need a story, graphics, ideas for features, theorycrafting, extensive testing for balancing issues, and so on.
It's just more than I'm capable of. I've tried and tried... but in the end, I just can't manage.

If I had lower expectations for Nyaar, than maybe I'd be done already... but I can't bring myself to do less than the absolute best possible.

So, Nyaar's pretty much dead, sadly. If I ever pick the project back up again, I'll more than likely have to restart from scratch and I'll definitely have to have a predetermined, reliable team to work with.

I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to this project.
Had I known this would happen earlier, I would never have announced it.

This, however, doesn't mean I won't still code on the calculator. It just means, I won't tackle another RPG alone.

Sorry to hear that, but I pretty much abandonned my own projects for the same reasons...

this sucks but i agree if it wasnt for all teh help ive gotten so far on crimson it would have remained dead for a very long time if it even got started at all :/

Sorry to hear, I was looking forward for it :(. But Yeah I understand how you feel. Hopefully maybe in the future people can help a bit, especially battle system and the like.

This is why since 2003 I started to plan my entire RPGs storylines, then planned how menus and battles would look like, most abilities and stuff before taking on coding, else it is not guaranteed I will even know what to do in the end. It happened to some Illusiat games and the storyline quality suffered. Not to mention you can easily run out of memory due to no planning.

Are you planning to release what you got to public? Maybe some people might want to actually continue on from what you had and it could revive the project?

I left out the map editor, though, because I was not too sure it was completly done. In fact, for now I renamed the subforum to it

I also deleted the {AP} porn thread because it was kinda innapropriate. Didn't knew it was there x.x. Bad {AP}!

As for the Map Editor... it's pretty much done. For now at least.
It runs perfectly fine and all planned features are implemented.

I may update it more if I get more ideas though.

Well even though thats bad news, i think its good u can drop a project and still code =D. (While i was reading i really thought u were gonna say u were gonna stop =OO)

Anyways, Hopefully next time will turn out better. Learn from mistakes/Experiences right?

{AP} has Earned +1 Exp (In Life xD)
