Omnimaga in December 2005
« on: November 08, 2009, 05:24:53 am »
Wow, I am surprised the skin chooser even works at all on archive.org. The "Classic" skin is missing, though, but it's nearly the same as "Retro", except with the colors from the default skin and the same background as the old HTML site in its last days

http://web.archive.org/web/20051211063953/http://omnimaga.dyndns.org/

I still remember the DDR skin in tribute to xLIB xLIB Revolution :P

Btw, when archive.org cached that page, the online Omnimaga programming team was only a week old, altough that board was alerady 7 months old

People did not like that default space skin, though. It even turned away some members. A few weeks later we switched the skin to the following default one called "Omnimaga Blue Gray", after a poll:

(note, in that cache, the "classic" skin works, but most new ones don't)

Now if only every page on archive.org caches worked ;.;

cool
I wish you could read all pages, I'd like to see the development of games we all know now, and some games that never made it

Oh and btw, that RPG project called "The Chosen One" in the first link used to be called "Golden Sun: The Chosen One" and feature characters from the GBA versions. That was until Camelot freaked out and sent a cease and desist e-mail to Tenniskid493 to stop using GS stuff in his game x.x. That was one of the rare occasions where a game company freaked out because someone did a clone of their games on a CALCULATOR. The only other one I know about is Monopoly in 1999 on ticalc.org.

O.O O.O

http://web.archive.org/web/20050528112813/s7.invisionfree.com/Omnimaga/index.php?act=site

Oldest archive cache of the Invisionfree Omni website I could find. It even had a working copy of the original banner we used there, before switching to the blue gray skin and the "A new coding utopia awaits" slogan! O.O (I didn't have a copy anymore)

I found this from browsing ti-news.net archive caches.

Unfortunately, the FFTOM3 demo link doesn't work.  :'(
