Selling TI-89 Titanium
« on: February 14, 2009, 01:34:02 pm »
well since I'm having a bit of a money crunch right now, I figured I'd sell my 89ti. I don't really ever use (actually I haven't used it in nearly a year), and I need the money more than I need the calc, so I'm selling it. It works fine, just needs some batteries (not included  :D). The only problem is, is that the case that covers it doesn't slide off easily. Not really a technical issue or anything, but I thought I'd let you know.

I don't have a starting price mainly because I don't know how much they're worth, but if you're interested, just post here or pm me or something and we'll negotiate a price.

dude! those TI-89's are amazing, especially if you are going to be taking college math/chemistry/physics classes. You'll regret selling it if you ever have to take those sort of classes in college. I use mine all the time in my classes and I wouldn't switch back to my 84+SE ever (except for creating games). The TI-89 has a huge advantage over an 83/84 in that it has a CAS system, does unit conversions, and has "pretty print" which allows you to see exactly how the calculator interpreted your input. The larger display means you can fit more notes on the screen as well ;)

lol well if you put it that way... I only have to take up to Cal II, and I can't even use a calc in my Cal I class. Also I only have to take physics basic or whatever. So for most of that stuff I don't really need an 89, and right now I need the money more than I need the calc :/

I would have bought it if I didn't alerady got a 89t (providing you would have shipped internationally)

Altough, per the Omnimaga site rules, I would rather have the transaction occur via a safe place like Ebay since we don't hold responsible if anything bad occured.

I made it through calculus in college with a TI-83+ SE, most teachers I had just discussed how to operate the functions (by each chapter) on the z80 line..

So did I. I bought my TI-89t for Differential Equations, and that's when I learned how useful it could have been :P

Heh yay for competition!!

Current bid: $45 by metagross.

I'm going to close the bidding on wednesday at midnight (Central time). Not sure exactly what time that is for you guys, but I think it's GMT - 6:00 or something (not sure if that's the correct terminology).

I'm kind of up in the air about this one. I'd like a titanium... but I already have a TI-89 HW1. :/
