Half of this review is an obvious tongue-in-cheek approach to dealing with April Fool's Day, but I'm dead serious when I say that the continued "necessity" for the TI-83 in America's education system is as glaring an example as any of just how behind we are.
I hate how TI has a total monopoly over the calculator industry. The TI83 is simply not worth the 90 bucks, yet almost literally everybody is required to buy one. Sidenote: This guy thinks Tetris is fun? He should see some of the other calc games.
Btw Engadget reviewed like 20 electronic things yesterday, even a cellphone from the '90s.
Yeah I think it was that one. it felt weird to see a monochrome screen phone again. And lol
I think he meant to type "thing" instead of "think"
Ah maybe. And yeah some of the older stuff is much more resistant than new stuff. Take for example the Nintendo 64 or the SNES and compare it to the Playstation 2. NES is more destructible but it lasts years lol.Today they make electronics purposely break after a few years of use, to make people buy new ones.
I lol'd I hated how old stuff was so heavy, though. My mom's fridge could not even be moved at all and when we tried to, it destroyed the floor.
