I'm curious about this calculator as well. I wonder what the differences (if any) are?

Sorry for being late. I have no more info than you.

It's my guess, but I'm pretty sure that it will be one of those 2 things:

- either some kind of TI-84+ emulator for the iPhone or something like that
- either a special TI-84+ using a clam shell, like the Casio fx-9860G Slim
TI-Planet co-admin.

It could be a version of the 84 that is similar in form factor to a calc like the TI-34 multiview.

- either a special TI-84+ using a clam shell, like the Casio fx-9860G Slim
That would be epic, if it had all the features.
Though it probably wouldn't have the extra RAM pages, and it looks like it would only be the BE.

I just hope they don't remove more RAM pages x.x But a pocket-sized (for small pockets) graphing calculator sounds awesome! 84 Plus Nano someday? :D

just out of curiosity, but how come none of the other countries have their own special calcs like France?
Well the same thing happens with USA with the TI-73: no other country (even Canada) has it. In many european countries there was the TI-82 STATS which was a TI-83 non-plus renamed to TI-83, but it got discontinued outside France.

I think TI just tries to attract more customers and increase their sales more there, because they have fiercer competition against Casio in France (notice how the most active Casio forum, Planète-Casio, is in French)

Personally I still think it might be a smaller TI-84+. After all, since the hip-hop/Yo/rappist fashion where everyone had clothers 2 sizes larger than normal, pant pockets aren't always as deep as they were back then. Back then you could fit two calcs in one pocket.

As for why it wouldn't come out in America, then I guess it's because TI already have their monopoly and huge sales there and they'll be fine by just releasing the Nspire CX and selling slidecases separately. :P

Ah, french people, they always have to do things differently.

And could it be a miniature 84+?

Maybe it was posted erroneously or they decided to scrap it?
