Here is it, finally:
http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=news&ac=commentaires&id=1013

The TI-84Pocket.fr is just a basic TI-84+ with 480Kb archive, and the creepy 2.55MP OS. (hope we can still downgrade...)
Finally, the dimensions are 160 x 69 x 22 mm^3.

So we were quite accurate in the previous news, but note it's slightly smaller than the TI-80 (161x70 mm²).

I hope TI won't discontinue TI-84+SE in France, now...
Both french basic & SE 84+ pages are not accessible through TI-France links any more... :(

What, are they planning to replace it with the Pocket completely?

TI France still has a page for the 84+/SE (same page for both) on their website, so I would guess that they are going to keep it, at lest for the time being...

Yeah I checked yesterday and they were still there. I hope they doN't discontinue the 84+SE, considering some people like the extra archive. At least now we know that they're keeping the 84+ around in some ways, though, although they're going the "no-slidecase" way.

TI sent me a brand new TI-84 Pocket.fr.

Check the photos, tests and informations on TI-Bank:
http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=news&ac=commentaires&id=1176

To be short:
- as expected, it's similar with the basic TI-84+
- no miracle: only 48Kb RAM like all recent TI-84+

You might have been right with the 2.71MP OS.
The calculator includes a new 1.03 Boot Code. Remember that on TI-z80 Flash, the Boot Code only deals with the OS installation...
So probably some bad news very soon...

I'm having trouble imaging exactly what they could wish to update. They can't change the OS keys without dividing their OS updates. The only thing I would want changed is to have the USB code for the boot sector on the 32 K sector, not a 64 K sector.

Good to hear new info, not really surprising that there's only 48kb extra ram, thought it is a bit disappointing. I really can't imagine why they would update the boot code. ???

*edit* Just read the TI-Bank article. It looks really nice. I really like the compact size and styling, I am definitely interested in getting one. We can downgrade the OS on this model can't we? I think I'd rather have 2.43 on there than the new MP OS.

:P Bad signs coming.

So it still has OS 2.55MP?

But it actually looks really nice, and lol they advertise it as something you could fit in your pocket. You can do that with a TI-84 Plus XD
