I was wondering if i should get a ti-89. I already have a ti-84+ and am a decent programmer there, and i know the 89 has many features.
The only problem is that it costs like $150.
So i was wondering if it would be worth the money to get one.
Please post if you have any comments or suggestions.

Ummmm... I have an 89 Titanium which I use exclusively (I also used TI83 Plus for a short period in my life). The cost is different depending on where you live, you might be able to find something cheaper like about $140 at most now because I bought it for $150 when it first came out and I think the prices have gone a little down from ads I see. (Wow that was a really bad sentence.) The 89 has many features: the most notable being the CAS which is used for mathematics. If you are getting the 89 for simply programming, then I would recommend you DO NOT buy it unless you have money to spend (i.e. money is not a problem). If it is for the games, again DO NOT buy it unless you have money to spend. For math, I would recommend it if you are taking advanced math courses.
One of the reasons you might not want to get an 89 right now is because of Nspire CAS. But if you can afford it, it's a great addition.

and the NSPIRE CAS is... a new calculator?
well it's a good thing i'll be taking statistics and calculus next year, and physics if that matters. So if it's really helps me out in math, i guess i should get it. And the programming/games would be a great bonus :gift:
but if for some reason this NSPIRE is better, i might consider getting it, but i'd have to read more about it,

lol yeah, the store is about 4 minutes away driving, and they actually had them in stock, so it luckily went pretty fast.
Thanks for all the tutorials and other things.
