ti connect problem
« on: December 15, 2007, 04:27:00 pm »
Hey guys, for some reason i can't get ticonnect to link with my old ti 89. It identifies the ti89 but when i try to go to the device explorer the program say "TI-89 detected but couldn't get status. Anyone else had this problem or know why it might be happening? :???:confus.gif
*edit* apparantley it allows me to update the os so I am attempting this right now.
*edit* Works fine now.

glad that got resolved.  i find that a lot of my ticonnect problems are usually solved by a forced OS update.

i haven't tried tilp or tilp2 yet, but everyone else seems to like it.

tilp2 can be a pain sometimes, so I usually stick with TI-Connect.  Also, tilp2 uses different drivers, so I have to reinstall the cables everytime I want to switch programs.

@liazon yea, the mem had been erased so I think it had a really old os on it. :)smile.gif This is one of the original TI 89's after all. :)smile.gif Edit: OS was so old i didn't even have the archive space update.

I have a HW2 calc. It is nice. I've also had issues with Ti Connect. Also, TiLP is nice if you aren't using the USB drivers, I use it with a homemade Parallel link.

I have a 89 too, but it's a 89t so it doesn't have as good grayscale quality for some games. Some look nice tho
