TI Nspire CX CAS Prototypes being sold in China
« on: September 19, 2013, 04:46:14 am »
I saw this calculator a few days ago, and I found that the mark was "TI nspire CAS" instead of "TI nspire CX CAS" or something like "TI nspire color CAS"
So I asked the seller for some pictures, here they are.
By the way, the seller told me that he had a PLT-FHH1, but the screen was broken and he doesn't have the right power adapter to test.

Great discovery. :D

The boot splash screen and OS icons are different from the production ones and similar to the ones already spotted on the TI-Nspire Color.

Are some of you getting it?
3.0.1.1651 is of course undumped, but the most interesting thing with those prototypes is that their Boot1 is on an external reflashable documented chip:

Nice find dude. :) That reminds me, I wonder if companies in China ever released TI calc knockoffs before? I know that over there, knockoffs are pretty common and there are even some that literally tries to be the real thing, either physically or also software-wise.
