But my TI manual date back in early 2001 (and it seems to be 1999 edition) so it has been a long while since they said this

ook thats good to hear at least. But I thought TI only distributed the small 3-40 page-ish manual with their calcs after the 83+SE was released?

83+, which are still being sold around here, still have the paper manuals to what I have seen. The new calcs all come with CDs.

ah ok. I know the SE comes with a very small manual though and my 89t came with a 300 page manual with explained details, altough it sucks compared to the original 60-800 page TI-89 manual

my ti 84+se came with a 216 page manual. and no it doesn't say anything about getkey for games.

ok I guess new calcs doesnt come with the quick starter guide but an actual manual. It sucks they shrinked it down that much though, because the info about programming is very limited in it. I actually learned TI-BASIC only from my big TI-83+ manual, nothing else, not even tutorials

^^ Same here, except I have the regular 83 manual, not the +. If I had to guess, I'd say it has close to 400 pages.

I'm sure it is more, it's hard to count tho since the page numerisation is divided per chapters instead of being continous, like the new manuals

Yeah, me too.

It's annoying how the old manuals like 83+ are not numbered as in 1-400. Grouping by sections is OK, but I would also prefer page numbers.

And I think the new N-spire are supposed to be anti-gaming. I guess teachers are tired of kids playing games in class, so TI hopes that a lack of programming will stop game developers. But that won't stop us right

? The SDK should be released soon...

no I'm pretty sure the 83+(SE) had some nice thick manuals. It was the 84+ and 89ti that had really skinny manuals.

I thought you'd find this interesting, I found it on the Ti-Nspire website. I was just curious to see if they had announced anything about it's programming capabilities.

that sounds promising

hopefully the langage will be similar and offer backward compatibility with other TI-Basic language. As for now I'm not getting an N-Spire but if it gets programming capabilities I may get one, altough I'll have to buy it from TI store since it's not sold where I live

huh, lucky i had an 86 back in the days before 84+ series.

it had a pretty nice manual, it's just that basic optimizations really weren't intuitive back when I was starting out on my own before I knew about forums ^^ *Liazon
