What do you think of the newest emulator....um...still in dev i think...

unfortunately I don't have a ds to test it out :(

sick though
-
I just got an R4 recently and tried it out. I must say I am very impressed with it personally. Jim E did a real bang-up job on it! Runs at full speed too. XD
-
where'd you get yours from?
-
Googled it and found a website that sold them. Had to have a friend order it though because the payment was through paypal and I don't have paypal.
-
Hmm... Wabbit ds doesnt seem to like groups for some reason. Im gonna check revsoft and see if maybe they havent been implemented yet.

ya, these kinds of things tend to be sold at sketchy places. I think electrobee's pretty good since it's run by an actual coder at gbadev.org

This is a good reason to develop for the GP2X -- it is open source, free development environment, and uses standard SD memory cards.

When I get a ds I will definitly try this though I don't know how long it will be before I get one.
-
^^ you never know, they might come out w/ a DS2, or at the very least another DS model.
for sure, i think the GB line has come to an end. it was great while it lasted though
-
anyone notice the zelda teasers.... and also some thing else SMB... dunno..?
-
smb was just a scrolling routhine jim e wrote... not an actual project unfortunatley. :(
-
This opens all sort of doors for programing This will allow for better graphics and more game play

that goes the same for the pokemon teasers.

Yea, I can't seem to get a response about wether groups work or not so atm I'd say groups don't work. :(
Grayscale on the other hand looks great, I tested it out with Desolate. On my actualy TI 83+ BE their are some strange diagonal scan lines running through it (even thought the grayscale is pretty much flicker free). On the wabbit ds emulator their are no scan lines showing and the grayscale is very smooth as well, the only exception being the title screen that does ficker a bit
.
-
BEs aren't as reliable for gs. as for the scan lines, you might want to lower the interrupt frequency or raise it.
generally, the emus aren't too good w/ groups :(
-
I trieed all the interupts on calc and the best on still had the diagonal scan lines. It did still run smoothly though despit the scan lines. The thing about the emulator is that it is emulating the BE, that's why I thought it was kinda odd. Hopefully they will get group support to work . :)
-
odd, the bad BE gs must affect only new or very old models, cuz on mine desolate was next to perfect. I bought it in 2001
-
Mines used and i don't know when it was manufactured.
-
afaik, just avoid the colored ones at all costs... that's just my experience.
-
That's what i've heard too. Mine is the regualr BE though so its all good.
-
yeah I think thats quite a problem, they had this with the non + 83s back then. IIRC the new models had better grayscale, altough it looked more like bluescale than grayscale <_<
