Planète-Casio's Ludum Dare
« on: October 30, 2011, 07:41:48 pm »
Hello anyone!
We just finished our Ludum Dare test, and 3 games are finsihed "at time" (~20 min late for the last)

1. Gravity runner

Page here
Hum... My game. :-°
How to say? I tried to make a game I liked on Iphone. There's not spikes, portals, switches, but it's my game, and I did it on 48 hours (not really in prog time :-°)

Video from original game (it's very different from mine :/)

2. Greeny Gap
Page Here
KevkevVtt's realisation. Comes too from a flash game. Try flying between two deathly floors and ceils! Will you do it?
Link to original game:
Here

3. Gravity Duck (for me, the best)

Link to page Here
PierrotLL's masterpiece.
Switch gravity and avoid ennemies to collect golden eggs and become rich!
Comme (three?) too from a flash game, located Here

Here you go for the 0# edition Of Planète-Casio Porgramming mini-contests!

Wow looks pretty nice. I need to try these out at one point. Unfortunately I do not code much anymore so I doubt I'll participate, though.

EDIT: I tried them and I like the 3rd one especially. It reminds me a lot of Graviter for the 83+. I like your game too but the problem is that there's absolute no way to exit, so I had to remove a battery. ??? As for the other one it was just too hard so I removed it after 5 minutes not being able to beat any level.

The 3rd game definitively gonna have a news here at one point. I sense a revival of the Casio non-BASIC scene for older calcs. :D As for your game once the bugs are fixed I'm sure it will have one too.

I wish my trial of the 9860G manager did not expire, so I could still make screenshots like this. D:

ALso nice video and game. THis game is supposed to go in news soon, but I didn't have time to write one yet. Eiyeron might make news too once the bugs are fixed and that it's possible to exit without removing a battery.

Also you just made me lose The Game. x.x

Lol ok. I understand the game is not finished lol. By the way I really like it, though. I hope you get some time to finish it. :)

sorry for the off topic, but was the choosing of this name because it means "a game to give" in latin? in my latin class i get extra credit for external references (besides obvious ones like money, planets, etc) so it would benefit for me to know. it looks nice too!

I dunno, but i know that Ludum Dare is a real competition to make a game in 48 hours, liked by the indies devs

My amateur reviews:

Gravity duck is quite the excellent game! I love the main level menu! Also, the fact that it saves progress is pretty sweet too. :)

Gravity run is fun, but it has way to exit! I have to use the reset button :P

Greeny gap is very fun.

You guys over at PC are filling up my main memory! lol
