CPU of this phone: 2.5GHz Quad Core
CPU of my laptop: 2.6GHz Dual Core
So CPU-wise it's more powerfull than my laptop? That is one powerfull phone. The screen also has a better resolution than the screen of my laptop.

But since I only use my phone to make phone calls, for texting and as MP3 player, $299 is too expensive to me.

No in real word performance it's far behind. ARM is way less efficient that x86. :P

So yeah, my dad wants it because he wants a huge phone, because he doesn't like carrying around a phone and a tablet. He's not satisfied with 5 inch screens and the Note 3 is like 2 or 3 times as expensive so the 1+1 obviously got his attention. He'd be pretty happy if I got him the invite. :) I don't have much more to say, this phone's awesomeness is universally recognized. :P
