I am hoping to have the newest beta out sometime come the next school season. After that, it will be a matter of adding map and trainer data. That will be pretty much it.

I don't know if anyone has asked this before, but what is the estimated play time of this game.

Oh cool Im glad he is trying to stay as close to the original as possible. And the original took me almost 2 weeks of 2 hours a day to beat, so I am looking forward to this.(It really looks like the power of TI-BASIC programming is being unleashed upon this game)

Actually, I feel quite the opposite. If this version is so close to the original, then people who have gotten bored or didn't like the original will not play it. I feel that this should be close to the original, but tifreak should add some of his own personal touches. This way, not only will the people who liked the original play the game, but also the people who DID NOT like the original because the game will have stuff that they haven't seen before. Just my two cents...
As for me, I haven't played any pokemon game before because *dun, dun, dun* I do not have, never had, and will possibly never have a Gameboy of any type. So, I have almost no experience whatsoever of any pokemon version (except for what I saw my friends play) and is the most impatient of anybody to play this game, even if it will be a beta (I :wub:
betas).
So, tifreak, what will some of the twists be from the original?

Haha super_speler that would lead to a $500,000 fine and 5 years in prison
It was expressed in the contract he had to sign.
P.S. He had to get a special encrypted key put on his 360

Well, so far, the only things that will be majorly different is that you will be able to catch Mew in one version, and Mewtwo in another. You will only be able to catch one of a pokemon, sadly, due to limitations via the lists.
I have not totally decided on other twists, yet.
As to play time, who knows? Depends on how much you play the game, and how much you try to get.

yeah, he has mentioned that before, but it would require an asm program (as we all know basic has limitations in that field
)

An asm program is being devised by the person who is writing the flash versions of the game.
