I can't wait to have an actual battle.
If you did this with xlib you could have the mons in grayscale. With omnicalc you could have the background music.
Yeah, but then this wouldn't be as impressive since I am doing this in almost all BASIC.
Well, hopefully some more will get accomplished tonight...

I
think
when the pokemon sprites are complete, it should be somewhere around 70k in size. Give or take a lil of course. I do have some optimizations to do to the pokemon data, but I doubt that it would shave more than 100 bytes off. Hopefully things go well enough that I can get to 90 or 95 tonight. Hopefully.

not 70k of pokemon sprites, it will only be ~42k for pokemon sprites. And xlibman is correct, the game was like 3 mb in size on the original GB, and I am gonna try to squeeze that into an 83+SE.
With the way I am doing things, I am hoping to cut quite a bit down on that.

Well, once the Pokemon sprites are in, I think I could bump up the total progress to 9%, dunno...
I have 88 done now...
Only 63 sprites left to do, if I could get 10 done a day, this would be wrapped up really soon.

I think most of the files may be maps as it progress, as this stuff take the most space. does the game has a lot of maps? I never played so I dunno if its as big as FF6 or more like zelda >.<

That doesn't do it justice really, since that doesn't include any of the interior maps, and the caves... Victory Road is also quite a long cave system as well...

I have large sheets of graph paper that I jot it all down on (I usually do a city/Road at a time, so it all matches up).
Once I get the item system up and done, and maybe the Pokedex (since that should be very easy) I will go back to map making.
