OmnomIRC Development / Re: OmnomIRC
« on: April 23, 2010, 06:27:46 pm »
Well, random new bug popped up...
While I was on my laptop, using OmnomIRC like normal, it started randomly repeating earlier messages.
It wasn't just the last message but just random messages in general. It was happening even while on another tab or another program entirely.
Eventually, I just gave up and closed the tab and, while checking the logs on my main PC, it was still repeating things even after I wasn't on Omnimaga anymore.

Here's a section of the logs:

At [16:10:22] I closed the tab after saying that message and it continued. It may still be continuing.

Just thought I'd bring this up. =/

Here they are.
Nothing special, but affordable and works for what I need it to.

I'll mostly just be online and web designing/coding on this thing.
(I had to at least have Stepmania on here though. ;P)

So, here's how my laptop currently looks.

Thanks, _player.
Sorry, if I sounded kinda like an asshole in my message, but it kinda had to be said.
I still thank you for the contribution. Minus the bug, it looks great.

It basically reads map information (stored however the tilemapper wants) and then displays a map on the screen based on that information.
Usually contains scrolling or map changing if scrolling isn't supported.

Yeah... see, that's not the right information I need.
The banner options are in the ACP.

I do see that the code will place it correctly and that a banner is existent in the theme folder, but we need to exactly set what the banner is in the ACP.

Yeah, he didn't put a limit on the Y movement for whatever reason.

I didn't add something to limit the Y movement, you'll have to add that yourself, not too much work really
Personally, I'd think that if you were sharing an engine, that you'd at least get it to run right on it's own without those weird errors.
If they edit it from there and it messes up, THEN it's the user's problem.

To each his own, I guess.

Oh, and thanks for including crouch-jump. =D
It was hard to get it working, but it made it to where I didn't have to restart to see the rest of the level.

Humour and Jokes / Re: Funny #omnimaga quotes
« on: April 17, 2010, 11:30:57 pm »
Currently, I don't know of a way to handle that through code that won't run the risk of too many false-positives.
I plan on just keeping an eye on what's added. If it becomes too much of a problem, I may have to make it to where I have to approve added quotes, but I plan on only sharing this site here for now so it should be safe.

Oh, just so you all know.
I'm working on sort of a http://bash.org/ -like site that we can use for IRC, YIM, MSN, Skype, and AIM logs.
You can just copy/paste the logs into the box and select which chat system you got the quote from and then it'll show you a preview of what the new page will look like. Just confirm that it looks right to you and it'll be added to the database. (mostly for those who forget to change where the quote's from)

Each set of quotes will be separated to different tables in the database and will be displayed on the site in ways similar to how the chat actually looks but I'll be making it look a bit prettier. Also, I'll have a copy/paste version under each quote so it looks correct when you want to share it.
