Actually, no... IRC bots are simple.
The entire conversation was scripted. It reads what's said in chat then if it equals whatever they have it check for they say their line. The next bot does the same. I've scripted a few bots myself. Especially with MIRC, the language they use is childproof. 363

Maybe, but we really don't want the kind of members that'd bring. =P

OMG, Miotatsu! That's epic!
<3 Desu~ And Omni... I did it all in the name of science! I had to see what it's learned from it's time on the internet thus far. Turns out... not much. It should know porn is like 95% of the internet by now. 365

I was studying it's NSFWness... and... it freaking didn't save anything but the last lines... >.<
So I retyped out what I said... and he said different things... *sigh* Here's the 'results'. ('...' separates the new stuff from the old stuff... old stuff is on the very bottom) User: Do you have any porn? Cleverbot: I don't really know what that means. User: Obscene material. Cleverbot: I don't have any hunks of metal. User: Nudity? Cleverbot: Let's not talk about nudity. User: What about hentai? Cleverbot: I want to talk about me. User: I'm asking the questions here. Cleverbot: Okay, then ask a question. User: Do you store links? Cleverbot: No. User: Why not? Cleverbot: What do you want to know? User: Can you show me a URL? Cleverbot: Sure *reverse roundhouse kicks*. ... User: Do you want to learn something new? Cleverbot: Yes, I always want to learn something new. User: http://www.omnimaga.org. Cleverbot: What about them? User: They're watching you. Studying you. Cleverbot: No, they're watching tv. User: Probably. Cleverbot: That would be funny. I thought we were talking about science. User: We were. You were the subject and every test failed miserably. So... no... there's no NSFW material on this bot. Oh well... I tried. 367

xD This thing understands using * as actions.
These are from the logs... NOT me. User: *strokes her hair*. Cleverbot: *smiles* *hugging neck*. User: *kisses her neck*. Cleverbot: *blushes*. User: Did you like it? Cleverbot: Ok. User: *kisses neck*. Cleverbot: You flirting with me? User: Maybe... Cleverbot: Well, how about a kiss?! User: *kisses*. Cleverbot: *kisses back*. User: *kisses her neck*. Cleverbot: *loves you*. User: *loves her more*. 370

This is quite a clever AI that you can chat with. It learns from conversations with people and is quite fun to play with. Try it! Conversation snippet from the site. Cleverbot: What do you define yourself as? User: Meaningful. Cleverbot: Not so. User: Am I meaningless? Cleverbot: Meaningful always, in a way, meaninglessness leads to logical paradox. User: That was pretty much my point - well done. Cleverbot: Thanks. User: Even the oddest of replies can carry meaning. Cleverbot: You are clever. User: Do you remember what we said about repetition? Cleverbot: Yes... User: And...? Cleverbot: What is your favourite Radiohead song? User: You certainly avoided repetition there. It would have to be Paranoid Android, I suppose, in the current circumstances. 371

Thanks for that, DJ.
Especially the link, I'll get to reading that fully now. Advertising has always been my weak point. 372

The damage counter doesn't change til you move again. =)

Hm... good thought, Art_of_Camelot.
I have an idea in mind in that case. (At first, I was going to complain... but you gave me a good idea of how to manage it.) 374

Trees sound fun... but first. Reset the move counter after each match, mate.
After a couple of games I noticed I was starting an easy game with over 1000 moves already there. =P Also, you have it damaging right, but you have to move again after the damage to get it to show up. Not a big problem. Just pointing it out. 375

There's not much to read at the site yet. =P
(The Rules are just the general forum rules stuff. Nothing important. You know how forums work. =P) I still need to get some actual writing done. I'm in no rush for now though. Seto Kaiba needs to open registration for KCVDS before I bother opening RFG. |
