Hm... so... when sharing screenshots... do we post them here or make our own topics for our projects?

I was overdue for a change anyway.

No worries.
I have the entire engine for a 2D sidescrolling puzzle platformer.
Only took about 4 hours and all that's left is making the levels.
...and the menu.
Maybe a highscore of some sort.

I was just curious as to EXACTLY what you all found to be a sidscroller.

Alright, has anyone decided to attempt defining 'platformer'?
I always thought they were sidescrollers... with platforms and pitfalls and the like.
(Which is how wikipedia describes it; paraphrased of course)

Though, now I'm seeing these top-down games as entries and I'm lost.
So... what do we qualify as a 'platformer' exactly?

*sigh* I don't know what's been wrong with me.
I haven't had the will to code... or even post recently.
Hell, I don't have much of a will to live either... but no one wants to commit a mercy killing so I'm stuck among the living.

I'll be moving back in with my mom this summer though... maybe the change of location will help me feel better.
So, I apologize... but don't expect any updates anytime soon. You may not hear from me again for awhile either...
I just don't know anymore.

Don't worry, unless I die... the project will get finished.
Just another delay.

Until then... later, guys.

Yeah... I lack bass... as always... >_<

As for program, I use Fruity Loops Studios 8 XXL.
I use Sytrus like crazy and Nexus is hell to get. >_<
All my attempts have failed.

I'll have more done tomorrow hopefully.

Got some work done on it.
Still needs work and I'm still in the 'testing phase'.

Who knows if I'll ever get a real bassline in this.. >_<

I started doing some techno again.
Well, it's not done... but here's what I've gotten so far.

I've kinda gotten stumped as to how to continue this... I'll think of something though.

Any thoughts on it so far? =D

Btw your song is great, I wish it had a bit of reverb and bass strings, though, but that's something Notesimmo can't do, I think x.x
That's just me being lazy. Bass is possible.
The song is Saria's Song from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time btw.

Does this music maker allows you to import files into wav/mp3s? If not, maybe you could use audacity or another sound recorder and post the mp3 link from mediafire for those who can't run this music software (since it appears to be a bit CPU intensive and requires flash to be installed)
It has a way to convert them to WAV and will apparently be able to do MIDI later.
If you try to convert it to MP# it gives the message: "Convert the song to a WAV then use a program like Audacity to convert it to a MP3."
Oddly enough, the converter is a separate program you have to download that requires Java, but it works at least.

Bah. Butchered Saria's Song... I'm too tired to mess with making is sound better either.
Check it out or not, your call.

I think I'll do one from an anime next.

(BTW, Lugia's Song is from the Pokemon 2000 movie, Omnimaga. It's the only good music Pokemon has ever produced IMO.)

Oh well, working on another.

I've finished the core of another song.
I'll see if I can add something else to it later, maybe.

Yeah, it was originally just a song I played on my piano on occasion. I never expected to actually put it online.
I'll work on it more later... I've been working on another song in Notessimo recently.

Here's that piano song I mentioned to DJ awhile back.
It's not exactly how I wanted it... but it's still nice.

Dark Void - Nyaar (Electrokinesis) a.k.a. Me
It's my second addition to the Void series. (first one was Sky Void)

(EDIT: Tempo fixes. Sounds better now.)

Electrokinesis (15/15): second character everSecret Character (6/9): third character ever
