Don't worry about sub programs.
I'm using as few as possible and if you install the game correctly you won't even be able to see anything but the main program.

I never liked the 'hundreds of subprograms' thing myself.

Haha, awesome.
I'm heading to bed. I'll see about getting the site slightly more up to date tomorrow.
It's a lot easier now that I'm doing it in PHP.
(Noticed that the Nyaar! page and News is pretty damn old.)

Later and thanks much for the domain! ^_^

Yeah... the nameserver changes are supposed to be 24-48 hours alone.
On the bright side... I coded in a smart way and won't have to do any work to switch to the new domain when it gets up.

(EDIT: Holy crap! It's already up! Check it: http://antipi.omnimaga.org/)

It is. I have access to my mom's 1and1 and tested it. (which is how I got the picture)
I'd get a subdomain there... but I don't like any of her domains.

That'd be great!

How about: antipi.omnimaga.org
I'll need you to set-up the nameservers as such though:

Alright. Major face lift.
Anti-Pi

I've changed hosts, domain (currently a free one, I'll pay later maybe), and switched to mostly PHP.
I have to thank Iambian for bringing up the topic of PHP. I'm liking this a LOT better.

Um... comments, yes?

As for learning, I'm enjoying W3Schools so far.
Learned quite a bit already.

You've inspired me to relearn PHP too...
I've been far too lazy to properly update my site on pure HTML.

When I find a good place, I'll make sure to tell you.
*starts searching*

Okay, here's what I've gotten so far.
About 4 hours of work only.

No, the menu and loading screen won't be THAT plain. They're just placeholders.
Yeah, I know... not much animation... but syncing up the lyrics perfectly took a long time.
Not to mention the research needed to get it translated correctly. (the translators only helped a bit and no one has a site with the lyrics perfectly translated yet either)
Um... enjoy?

Notify me if you have any problems with the video so far.

Changed it to a link.

Though, yeah... if I didn't have a computer at home and a flash drive... there would be NO way I could get this project done.
Because, of course, I'm going overboard... the final product will have about 3000 frames done frame by frame.
Everyone else in my class is doing things like 'Baa Baa Black Sheep', 'Ring Around The Rosy', and 'Three Blind Mice' (remember, it's supposed to be about 'nursery rhymes') and they won't have more than a couple hundred frames at max... most of it motion tweening.

Art / Vater Unser - Sprite Music Video
« on: March 23, 2009, 09:36:54 pm »
Well, I know I start a lot of projects (especially recently) but this one isn't my fault.
I have to do a flash animation of a 'nursery rhyme' which contains the history of the chosen rhyme at the end of the movie.
Yes, this is school work.

I decided to do a sprite animation (I've acquired the sprites via google) of Vater Unser (english: Our Father) which is the german version of "The Lord's Prayer", a popular bible verse that's made it's way into many songs.

On the bright side, since I'm being graded on this... it WILL get done. Down side, due to there being a deadline... it'll take up most of my time. (so ANOTHER delay on Nyaar...)

So far, I've gotten all of the words synced to the music. (I have the german lyrics on top of the screen and the english lyrics on the bottom)
I've just started doing the rest of the animation... then I decided I'd share the project with you guys.
I'll show you guys my progress so far by either tomorrow, or sometime later tonight.

Here's the official music video to the song in question (just so you can hear what song I'm doing this to):

(PS. Yeah... I don't like the official one much either. Still I love the song. Can't embed the movie though.)

LYRICS (German with English translation below)
Code: [Select]
Vater unser
*Our Father
der Du bist im Himmel
*Which art in Heaven
Geheiligt werde Dein Name
*Hallowed be thy name
Dein Reich komme
*Thy Kingdom come
Dein Wille geschehe
*Thy Will be done
Wie im Himmel als auch auf Erden
*In earth as it is in Heaven
Und vergib uns unsre Schuld
*And forgive us our tresspasses
Wir auch wir vergeben unsern Schuldigern
*As we forgive them that tresspass against us

In nomine patris et filii et spiritus sancti
*In the name of the father, son, and holy ghost

Vater unser
*Our Father
der Du bist im Himmel
*Which art in Heaven
Geheiligt werde Dein Name
*Hallowed be thy name
Dein Reich komme
*Thy Kingdom come
Dein Wille geschehe
*Thy Will be done
Wie im Himmel als auch auf Erden
*In earth as it is in Heaven
Unser täglich Brot gib uns heute
*Give us this day our daily bread
Und vergib uns unsre Schuld
*And forgive us our tresspasses
Wir auch wir vergeben unsern Schuldigern
*As we forgive them that tresspass against us
Und führe uns nicht in Versuchung
*And lead us not into temptation
Sondern erlöse uns von dem Übel
*But deliever us from evil
Denn Dein ist das Reich und die Kraft und die Herrlichkeit in Ewigkeit
*For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever
Amen
*Amen

In nomine patris et filii et spiritus sancti
*In the name of the father, son, and holy ghost
Amen
*Amen
In nomine patris et filii et spiritus sancti
*In the name of the father, son, and holy ghost

Vater unser
*Our Father
Vater unser
*Our Father
der Du bist im Himmel
*Which art in Heaven
Geheiligt werde Dein Name
*Hallowed be thy name
Dein Reich komme
*Thy Kingdom come
Dein Wille geschehe
*Thy Will be done
Wie im Himmel als auch auf Erden
*In earth as it is in Heaven
Und vergib uns unsre Schuld
*And forgive us our tresspasses
Wir auch wir vergeben unsern Schuldigern
*As we forgive them that tresspass against us
Wir auch wir vergeben unsern Schuldigern
*As we forgive them that tresspass against us

Vater höre meine Stimme
*Father hear my voice
Herr höre meine Stimme
*Lord hear my voice

Lasset uns beten
*Let us pray
Der Herr ist ein Schatten über deinem rechten Hand.
*The Lord is your shade over your right hand.
Amen
*Amen
Vater unser, Dein ist das Reich und die Kraft und die Herrlichkeit in Ewigkeit
*Our father, yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever
Amen
*Amen

Other Calculators / Re: How you started programming
« on: March 22, 2009, 08:34:14 pm »
Got bored in class.
Fiddled with the calculator and found out that they could be programmed.
Fiddled with the commands until I understood them. (helps that I knew some other languages at the time)
Made a real crappy game or two.
Found out that other people have made games too. (didn't know that there was any other games for the calculator)
Learned more programming skillz from miscellaneous sites.
???
Profit!

Are you trying to make me get addicted in calc games?
Isn't that how we all started with calculator programming (or at least addicted to making them)?

Nope.
I was just bored in math class, saw that they could be programmed, learned how after a while, then realized that there is actually other people who thought about using a calculator for games.
