The characters and enemies will be 16x16.
But... you're helping?
Unexpected, but highly welcome! =D

You can PM me more more details of what's needed, if you want. =P

Thanks. =D
All the basics are done. (though I'm re-uploading them now due to a high-pitched whine in the background due to audio compression... >_<)
The first game tutorial is done and I added a quick video of my game, Nyaar, as it is now.

So... comments? ^_^

No offense, mate. The thought of that rick roll erases everything else from my mind temporarily. >_<

Anyway, personally, I like the middle one too.

{EDIT AGAIN: Obviously I can't think before I type either... >_<
Anyway, yeah, I just noticed that. Let's just say that I'm working as the man so I can destroy the man from the inside... of the man.
Yeah... let's say that.)

Haha, no problem.

Next set of tutorials might not be released today it seems.
Girlfriend to tend to.

Hopefully, I can at least get ONE off though.

I don't know, Omnimaga... but if you link my to Ashley Tisdale's Rick Roll again...
I think I might kill you. >_>

EDIT: Oh, and welcome back, simplethinker! Best name I've seen so far. =P

Haha, never pay attention to my title screen for Nyaar, did  ya?

Thanks, I'll be starting the actual game tutorials today.
Got the basics done last night. (might be able to tell how tired I was)

Oh, and I'll start adding my music to the background for fun. =D
Dual-promoting for Electrokinesis and Omnimaga. *marketing genius*

I meant good videos. =P

Though, yeah, there are plenty of amazing tutorials otherwise.

Some people are more visual though.
...
I do wish I could explain things a bit better though. >_<

TI-BASIC / TI Basic Programming Tutorials
« on: November 08, 2008, 11:12:57 pm »
Well, I haven't seen any good tutorials out there, so I decided to start making my own.

Unfortunately, I say things before I think so I have a lot of 'um...'s in there but I get my points across.

Anyway, right now, I'm covering the basics. (making more videos all tonight)
Though, I'll be off of that and into game making asap.

I'm not sure anything will help the members here, but hopefully... my tutorials can be given to friends and such to teach them.

Feel free to give criticism and ideas.
Also, I'll be linking the videos to Omnimaga.org so maybe we'll get new members.

Anyway, without further ado... my voice!

It's easy... all you need is the Send( and Get( functions.
It'll be a little slow (I think), but I've done it before.

I can test a bit for you.
I have a TI 84+SE.

I also want to see if the grayscale truly is flickerless.
If so, I'll probably start using the kit.

Free to sign up, it's simple to get the music on there.

Though, other than that, I have no clue.
I haven't tried it out yet.

I only used it at all so my music could be streamed at full length on Imeem.

Yeah, I actually made it for the old version awhile back as a stand-in for a lack in content.
Though, it's lost by now and wouldn't be near compatible.
Still, the concept is really simple.
Just a modified version of the battle system is all.

I'm not ENTIRELY sure...
I have it registered in SNOCAP, which basically makes sure that I'm the only one with legal rights to sell my music.
It also allows me to set up listening rights for Imeem (main reason I got it).
Plus, the more people listen to my music on Imeem, I'll actually start getting paid. =D

Otherwise, I'm not sure of EVERYTHING it entails... I know I can set up a store with it though.
But, that will happen later.

As for them being added to Omnimaga... I'd say not yet.
I gotta see whether or not I plan on pursuing this as a possible career of sorts or if I truly just wanna share my music.

Knowing me, the decision won't take long... just see how long it took me to decide I needed a subforum? =P

(EDIT: As for the bassline... yeah, I know. It's a problem I'm having. I can't figure out which bass instrument to work with and proper techniques for making the bassline.
I have always felt my songs weren't really 'complete'... but I wasn't positive of what needed to fill that hole.
Also, thanks! Yeah, I've been trying to develop my own style from the start, but I'm just having trouble mastering my songs.)

(EDIT2: Oh, and track 8 was a gift for my girlfriend at one point. Though, surprisingly it was my easiest song to make... (other than the VG remixes).
I have a few other songs, but they're old and I'm kinda not sure if I should even bother.)

I actually fixed the issue another way... but what's Dispgraph?
I've never seen it before.

How I did it is I just have it draw a 2 pixel long line and clear it at the beginning of the shop program.
Somehow... it works. O.o
