Sadly I don't think that will ever happen, the CPU is too different from the production models.

There's (assumed to be) a small ROM chip inside the AISC that holds the model type info.

News / Re: Ndless 3 is born... (photo + video)« on: November 05, 2011, 07:24:45 pm »Yeah I cant wait and will nespire work or will the source have to be changed? I'd imagine it would still work, but it might need to be recompiled. OS3 is heavily protected, so I think stability is going to be a big issue here. 9

AWESOME!
I wonder if we'll need a patched OS to keep things stable... 10

News / Re: New interesting FX-cg20 BASIC games« on: November 02, 2011, 02:30:07 pm »You can't. It's only sold in Europe, while the cg10 is only sold in America. Ebay might be your best bet, but be careful and make sure it's really a cg20. Well that sucks. I suppose it's the same deal if I wanted a TI-84 Pocket.fr? 12

I'm interested in getting a Prizm in the next few months, does anyone know if I can even get a CG-20 in the US?

Miscellaneous / Re: Computer Specs« on: October 28, 2011, 01:41:24 am »Ah ok. Yeah I remember on my other card I ran games requiring 128 MB but no specific pixel shading 2.0 and that stuff, and the game would run ok but sometimes it would freeze for a bit then start running fine again. It really varies. Like you said, a 32Mb card can easily outperform a 128Mb card. With your current card (GT230, 1.5Gb) you can run Starcraft well (because Starcraft needs a powerful CPU and enough memory to store all the objects rendered on screen) but not Crysis (because Crysis has fewer objects and far more advanced shaders) because your card has an abnormally high amount of high-speed memory (1.5Gb) but fewer shader processing cores (GT230 vs. GT280). My laptop's card (8600GS, 256Mb) can run Crysis okay but Starcraft would NOT run well. TL;DR: I spend way too much time on this stuff |
