You might want to use vars other than X and Y for coords, the OS uses X and Y for some graphing stuff and some drawing commands modify them, this causes problems that don't exist when you use any vars other than X/Y.

You folks are mentioning gimp, do you mean the free photoshop clone? Cuz I do have that on my computer.

Thats the only driver I've ever gotten to workTwo balloons pop up when my ti84+se gets plugged into the usb, "Found ti84+ silver Edition" and "Found ti84+ silver Edition USB Device" 12

I don't have ticonnect installed. Well I did but then I got rid of it since it couldn't find my calc either.
So any similar progs that work with XP that can do plain usb cable transfer? I used to transfer stuff all the time when I had a silverlink cable back in highschool with my ti83+, so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing (I hope that doesn't come across as cocky or arrogant over the interwebs, I just wanted to point out I'm not a novice to this procedure) 13
General Calculator Help / Re: Question about usb ports on ti84+SE« on: January 25, 2012, 02:40:30 pm »Hm. Did you do the Dirlisting? What happens when you click the Ready button in the top-right corner?Invalid command id Received and unexpected command id from calculator probably due to a transmission error Most of all, did you configure the calculator and cable model ?I did set that, but when tilp starts up the command prompt says "no devices found" and "unknown property orientation for class GtkVBox" And I made sure I don't have those bogus .sys files on my computer (running WinXp btw) 14

Yes, that's what I mean but Ti connect and tilp don't "see" my calc, althought winxp does recognize that have it plugged in.
