Yes, I'm here again. The flow of calculator shows no sign of stopping... until now? One day, I was messing around in MicroPython on my P-0211A TI-Nspire CX, and decided to input a math expression that has a very large answer, which I knew would freeze the calculator. The calculator froze, as expected, so I rebooted it via the button on the back. It loaded the OS, it went to the clock screen, and... Nothing. The clock was simply frozen. I waited for minutes, and absolutely nothing changed. I tried reloading 4.2.0 without the boot2 (TNOCed) as to not lose nLaunchy, to no avail. I tried reloading an unmodified 4.2.0 OS (with the boot2), to no avail. I tried formatting the entire system and reloading the unmodified 4.2.0 OS... to no avail. The only thing left I could think of doing would be reflashing the entire OS at RS232 level, but I don't have an RS232 device, and I'd rather not go that route just yet. I already have my documents safe, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
By the way, I do have a computer called a "PocketCHIP", it's similar to the Raspberry Pi, would that work as an RS232 device? It has GPIO pin slots, if that helps.

Hello, again. I have yet another issue with my calculator. Recently, I installed the Nover 3 auto-overclock. Around that time, my calculator would not open any files that were specified to be opened with a program in ndless.cfg.tns. I don't think this is Nover's fault, as when I renamed the "startup" folder in the "ndless" folder and rebooted, the problem still occurred. For example, when I try to open a .txt.tns file, it states that the file type is not supported, while nTxt can open it manually just fine. More importantly, I can not open any .ll2.tns files, which means I can no longer run Linux (much more important than any typing program ). Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm not sure if this should be asked here, or in Ndless' Github issues section, or somewhere else entirely? Hm...

Hello, everyone. School time recently began in my district, and everyone has the new fancy TI-83/84 and all the variations! I've been asked more than once how to play games on the calculator, and to shorten their long journey to their computer to download a file and transfer it to their calculator (very difficult!) I was going to transfer files directly from my calculator to their calculator. Unfortunately(?) I have a TI-nSpire CX, and my testing seems to show that I can't send files to their calculators via my calculator (unless I'm wrong, which is likely). So, I was going to buy a calculator that could transfer to all their calculators, except I'm not sure which calculator can trasnfer to all other calculators! Can the TI-84+ transfer to the TI-84+ CE (and vice versa)? Can the TI-83 transfer to the TI-84+ (and vice versa)? My research (which is basically the one Texas Instruments page detailing how to transfer files between calculators) is quite unclear! As a solution, I decided to ask here, at Omnimaga. So, could someone please tell me which calculator I should buy to be able to transfer files to my classmate's calculators? Thank you! (Sorry if something didn't make sense.)
Also, as a completely unrelated question that I doubt I should be asking here: does anyone know of a USB Network Adaptor that is compatible with the nSpire's Debian 8 from Ivoah's guide?

Hello, everyone. Recently, I installed nLaunchy to dualboot CX 4.2 and CAS CX 3.1 on my revision A calculator. Everything was going great (and still is), until suddenly... OS 4.3!!nBoot!!It was only a matter of time until I installed nBoot on my other revision V nSpire CX, but then I got thinking: should I ditch nLaunchy and switch to nBoot (with ControlX) on my revision A, and use all the cool new features (i.e. overclocking without recompiling & 4.3 support)? Does nBoot permit me to load CX CAS as well as normal CX? Can I install nBoot and nLaunchy at the same time? Can I extend the limit of 100MB of storage on my calculator with BtMg and some way to execute arbitrary code? I am hoping that someone (or more!) could answer at least some of these questions, as right now I am in a state of confusion and amazement of all this new(ish) software. Thank you!

(I may leave some things out, please notify me if I do so) Hello, everyone. I am going to print my specifications here, because my computer crashes frequently and didn't save a draft: Calculator: TI-nSpire CX HW-A OS Version: 4.2 Other: nLaunchy from the CX folder at the Github + Ndless I am asking if I can dualboot CX OS at the latest version and CX CAS OS at 3.2 (or later, if it is possible). There is a guide for switching to CX CAS, but not dualbooting it: https://www.omnimaga.org/general-calculator-help/installing-cas-on-ti-nspire-cx-non-cas/60/ . I realize this may be a tall task, and if it is simply not possible, would someone kindly say so? Thank you in advance. EDIT: Okay, um. It's been a while now, and quite a few people have viewed this thread... I guess no one knows the answer? It would be nice to know if anyone is even reading this thread, however. EDIT2: Hey hey hey, I figured out how to hyperlink! I suppose I'll lock this thread now, seeing as it's pretty much useless (and mostly me just pushing for answers).

Hello, I have been reading things on this site for quite some time now, and have only today created an account, as I am having problems with my calculator that haven't been answered, as far as I see. If there is some forum for asking questions, I would be grateful if someone could move this there. So, after reading I could run Linux on a calculator, I decided, "I must have this." So, I bought a TI-Nspire CX, updated it to 4.0.3.29, and followed the guide here: http://codinghobbit.no-ip.org/blog/?p=81After setting my USB drive and calculator up, I attached my USB-OTG and USB drive to the calculator. When doing so, I received the message: "Warning Cannot communicate with the peripheral attached to handheld" I figured "Okay, maybe the USB drive doesn't work." I tried a different one, but to no avail. I also tried a USB mouse, which also did not work. I have the latest version of ndless installed for 4.0.3, and I have the USB-OTG found here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JK1OFOM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00Could someone please explain to me what I'm doing wrong? Also, would it be worth it to update to the 4.2.0 firmware that I only now realize exists? Thank you in advance.
