I believe there was speculation about a planet X about 10 years ago. I wrote an essay about it in elementary school

Hmm I have tons of china quality pots and they seem to hold up fine (after cleaning)

You can clean potentiometers by spraying some wd40 in the little hole at the top.
You need digital potentiometers with a dual power supply because the signal voltage may drop below 0V. The potentiometer will cut off the signal and might even get damaged. You could use +6 and -6v supply across the device. It's effectively 12v but the center is shifted. For this you need additional regulators. You could also make the entire system run from a single supply, but it requires some trickery. 7

Make sure that they can deal with the +12 -12v supply before you hook them up.

This reminds me of f-zero gx with the tunnel that has beams across as well as speed boosters.

That's not bad for a first. You haven't seen my early work yet

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Axe Parser« on: June 25, 2015, 05:08:55 pm »
Wow that fast compile time sounds promising! That will save so much time when debugging! Because of the unstable state I will not be using it for development just yet, but I certainly want to try it out.

What waveform is it supposed to have? I am used to hearing pure squarewaves from piano applications like these.

You could try using timer interrupts to set a frame limit.

The graphics look awesome. I don't know what it's like gameplay-wise, but at least it has that going for it

Congrats on soldering your first board!
This looks a lot better than our project group's preamplifier. That thing had long airwires going all over the place. 15

That would require learning the z80 assembly language, but then you won't need axe as much anymore.
