General Discussion / Re: Can someone identify this tune for me?
« on: June 21, 2013, 07:52:11 pm »
Oops, I found it. This is it.

I don't know if it's played by the same people, but it's definitely the same song.

TI-Nspire / Re: nSpiKx - TI-nSpire emulator for Mac os x (Cocoa)

I have an Intel Core i7-920 processor with an ATi Radeon HD 4890 graphics card. I'm also running Mountain Lion.

kArmTI works fine in Wine anyway.

...and now for something different.

The app works as far as emulating, but nothing is actually shown on-screen (not sure why). And yet, the console shows that the OS indeed boots, and I can copy actual screenshots from the emulator into another program. I'm just unable to see what's on the emulated screen. It looks like this.

TI-Nspire / Re: GBA emulator?

Is Zipping supported on Calc84maniac's emu?
Yeah. I've actually found that some games that crash on start-up unzipped work fine while zipped.
You have a copy of the emulator? O_o Also, crashes for non-zipped ROMs sounds like an issue.
This bug happened on the GP2X Wiz version. I can't remember what didn't work, but I think it was Pokemon Emerald. I'm sure others have gotten it to work unzipped, so maybe it's just an issue with my dump.

News / Re: New mViewer CX 3.2 adds JPEG support
« on: July 29, 2012, 06:48:36 am »
This is great news :D
However, this still need Ndless, right ? So calling it mViewer 3.2 is not a good idea in my opinion. People could think it runs on OS 3.2

I understand the problem, but last version was 3.1...
Perhaps, until a version of ndless is released for 3.2, you could try something like 3.1x (so this might be "3.11")

so that's why calc84 didn't wanted to distribute the one you have O.o
Also, how does the loading ROMs works with gpsp?
gpSP has a simple text-based menu system for selecting roms and changing emulator settings.

Judging by the non-smoothed font, this must be running on 3.1. It looks great.

A Genesis/Megadrive emulator could easily run full-speed.

News / Re: A theme editor coming for Ndless 3.1
« on: July 10, 2012, 10:47:30 pm »
I found that it rebooted after I created a "new theme", which also created a corrupted file that I could only delete on the calculator. I had to modify the default theme to get it to work, and now it seems to be fine. It increases boot time after restarting but I'm fine with that.

I have a device for reading, otherwise I might try reading on my Nspire.

Gaming Discussion / Re: nes games you would you recomend?

I suggest you check out RetroZone's homebrew and reproductions. And, if you have a bit more money, a Powerpak will allow you to play rare games without having to worry about finding a cart.

By the way any updates on this? Also what are your plans for the graphics? Are you planning to stick to the Dragon Warrior style or go with  my more 3D-ish idea?  Also, for the grass, it's an image rather than tiled, but when you add scrolling, won't that cause issues if the grass is static and everything else move?
I haven't worked on it much lately, as I've been busy with school and other things.
I'll try for the 3D-ish idea later, once I'm able to actually start working on anything besides the engine.
I'll attempt to fix the static backgrounds soon.

TI-Nspire / RPNCalc
« on: April 11, 2012, 02:40:11 am »
I've yearned for an RPN calculator on the nspire so I can train myself in using it, so I created one in LUA.
In the default mode, it has 16 registers and has access to most common operations, and it also saves properly.
You can read more about what RPN is on Wikipedia. There's also a bit more about the app, as well as sample expressions in the readme.
If you want, you can copy and paste the script into other problems from both the calculator and the student software.

I'm pretty sure this is compatible with all nspires, including clickpads. If not, let me know.

I've blocked education.ti.com from my computer just in case.
