It's pretty interesting, but I noticed that;
1. I cant see what I type, so I have to rely on my typing skills.
2. A couple of run time errors occoured when I tried to walk in different directions.
3. It's weird getting used to moving around like you are blind. All you have to go on are the descriptions, but that's kind of entertaining.

Over all I'd say good job, but it needs some work. :)smile.gif

Thanks, and yea, I've seen people do that around here. In fact a lot of people decorate their bushes and shrubbery and all that in their front yards with lights that have green wires, so that they can leave them up and have it be at least somewhat less redneck.

In downtown charlotte (nc, us) they have lights on the trees year round, but I think it's only because the city doesn't want to pay someone to take them down and put them up every year...

Now what would be really redneck, is if you left that gigantic inflatable Santa on your lawn year round. :Ptongue.gif

It merits a look or two. I think someone should write a ray caster for it. :Ptongue.gif

Other Calculators / TI 89 or 89 Ti???
« on: November 27, 2007, 09:06:00 am »
The HW4 does run faster, I think it's due to improved data buses, not a new processor. My 89TI runs visibly faster than my Voyage 200 which is supposed to be 12Mhz, although the 89TI still has some bugs within the OS. If you have the HW3 Patch installed and have just finished playing a game (i found this out with Oblivion and Doom, so I think it's just a fat engine thing, not one particular game) and you do a minimum or maximum regression from the graph screen, and mismatch the bounds, it'll crash, all on it's own, and the little black bar at the top will say ====Bound==== and it does nothing until you reset it.

I found this out while playing Oblivion before math class in the 11th or 12th grade. And more recently it happened after testing Doom, also right before math class. So I had to reset it using the hot keys during class. :/confused.gif

I've also heard the 89 HW1 has a better LCD and LCD hardware bus.

Good question, but what colors would that be?

And the red and green thing will be all right if most of the people here are red-green color blind %)rolleyes2.gif

Also, it'd be neat to have a Kwanza, Ramadan, Summer Solstice, Haloween (you probably already have it, but I don't remember seeing it.), and some other holiday themes.

That's a start. :)smile.gif

Wouldn't it be kind of funny if the sequil or the threequil (third installment, idk what you call it.) came out first. Then it'd be kind of like Star Wars, except you wouldn't screw it up by creating movies that go too far back into the story and add all kinds of unnecessary drama.

(Yes I didn't like episode I or II as much as the originals. The extra stuff they added bugged the crap out of me, like that romance thing with Princess Armadillo and Fluke Skysquaker's dad, Annie-kins.)

%)rolleyes2.gif I'm just kidding around actually, they were all great movies, just the earlier ones were better. I'm just poking fun now, but this thread is about Lost Legends 2 so I'm gonna get back on topic now.

Looks good so far! :Ptongue.gif

QUOTE
My cousin has gotten 3 regular 89s from online stores/auctions/classifieds etc. for under $40. My mom just ordered me one for Christmas yesterday (she doesn't know I know). There are still plenty out there.
And there aren't any differences for mathematics that I know of.

Did you check her email and find the conformation email? I've done that before. %)rolleyes2.gif I was a devious little bast*** when I was younger. Come to think of it, I still am a little. Not as much now as then. :Ptongue.gif

I'd go for the 89Ti if money isn't an issue, but if you really want a good 68k calc, I'd go one step further and get a Voyage 200, it's great. Same archive and ram memory as the 89Ti, plus the bigger and better contrast/resolution of the screen. It runs between the 89 and 89ti in speed, so it's a great middle ground. I like the full keyboard, it makes programming in basic really fast.

Only problem with the Voyage 200 is you can't use it on Standardized Tests. So if you need this for school as well, and not just a fancy piece of electrical excitement, then I'd go with the 89Ti.
