I have suceeded only in installing msys, yugarto, and making msys spit out a bin folder... Now what? How do I get my nspire running ndless 2.0? Can someone please instruct me on how to get from that bin folder to something I can put on my nspire and install ndless 2.0? Or maybe *cough*emailittomeplease*cough*?

I have installed MSYS, Mingw, yagarto, and have had 7zip forever. Yagarto is in my 'path'
well if the above is done then msys should spit out the binarys for 1.7,2.0 and 2.1 if you: run msys, then type in "cd /Nspire/ndless" (or wherever you have stored the source from the svn) and then "make"
Well, it spat out a bin folder, and some other stuff. Now what :|

OS 2.1 on my calc (I can revert back to 2.0 and 1.7 if I really have to via nleash) Nleash is not required to downgrade from 2.1.0.631 to 1.7.2741 or 2.0.1.60 It's however necessary to use Nleash for reverting from 2.1.0.631 to 1.1.*-1.6.*.
Nice ta know, saves me a step if I very have to downgrade (hopefully I won't) to 1.7+

There is no sdk/bin directory in the ndless 2.0 folder, I feel these instructions are a bit irrelevant to 2.0, I tried searching but found no further instruction on how to build ndless 2.0, can anyone help me out here?
Did you follow this step: "Set up the development environment for Ndless and built it: follow the procedure described in src/doc/Ndess-Development.txt in your working copy" Those should be the instructions for building 2.0, unless I'm horribly mistaken.
Was editing my post to throw that I saw that in while you where posting The text files first instruction * Add 7-zip's folder to your PATH environment variable * Copy Ndless/Makefile.config.tpl to Ndless/Makefile.config and configure the latter Hurr?

How do you "build" ndless 2.x The instructions are for experienced users and arent even for 2.0, they are for 1.7 and barely tell you how to build that! To build and hack into Ndless 2.0:
- Install a Subversion client such as TortoiseSVN - Checkout the source code with the URL and account above - Set up a C development environment - Set up the development environment for Ndless and built it: follow the procedure described in src/doc/Ndess-Development.txt in your working copy - Install it on nspire_emu or your calculator by following src/doc/ReadMe.txt
Update frequently your SVN working copy to get and rebuild the latest version.
You may browse the Development resources on Hackspire to start your own programs.
Links to download the TI-Nspire OSes are available in this topic.
That basically sounds like "To build ndless, build it." to less experienced people There is no "src" directory, I did find the "Ndess-Development.txt" but it repeats, "To build ndless 2.0, build it" I tried the 1.7 instructions on hackspire Setting up a development environment
Get Ndless which contains an SDK for C and assembly development on TI-Nspire. This article is written for Ndless v1.7. Add the sdk/bin/ directory to your PATH environment variable (on Windows XP, Windows Vista or on Linux). There is no sdk/bin directory in the ndless 2.0 folder, I feel these instructions are a bit irrelevant to 2.0, I tried searching but found no further instruction on how to build ndless 2.0, can anyone help me out here? I mean, even if you can send me the built version of ndless 2.0, I mean, it hasnt been updated since January 18th, no offense to devs, that was almost a month ago. If someone can provide further instructions on how to build it, that would be highly appreciated Details: I have a Non-CAS nSpire touchpad calculator, a non-CAS touchpad, non-CAS clickpad, and OS 2.1 on my calc (I can revert back to 2.0 and 1.7 if I really have to via nleash) and of course a mini usb cable I have installed MSYS, Mingw, yagarto, and have had 7zip forever. Yagarto is in my 'path'

I have the non CAS nSpire touch with non cas touch and clickpads. OS 1.7 does work on a non CAS touch, but Ndless1.7 won't work with the touchpad model of the nspire even with a clickpad in it
Ndless 1.7 does work very well on the basic Nspire TouchPad with the ClickPad keypad. I've made comprehensive tests and published news about this.
What do you mean by "does not work" ? I'm sorry but you must have done something wrong.
I may have needed to take more drastic measures (calc format) to remove ndless 1.1 before upgrading to OS & ndless 1.7. I am currently not at a pc, slowly posting from a mobile phone. My non-CAS nspire touch can only charge my phone I can't give ndless/OS 1.7 another go atm. I will be able to continue on a computer in around 1/2 hour when I can attempt ndless 1.7 and/or try 2.0 When I installed ndless 1.7 it got done loading, displayed random pixels in a few horizontal lines about 10-20 pixels wide each, then only seemed to be done... ran the demo and it said 'not compatible with demo.tns'. I deleted everything related to ndless from my calc and tried again. Same results.

If I am not mistaken, you need Nspire Link 1.3 (also on TI-Bank) in order for the Ndless installer to work (I think this is causing the issue but I could be wrong, as it has been a while since I last dealt with Ndless 1.0/1.1 problems)
Thanks for the suggestion, Going to try dev ndless 2.0 and OS 2.0, then hopefully nspire link 1.3 and OS1.1-1.7 won't be necessary

If you have a TI-Nspire CAS TouchPad, you need Ndless 1.3/1.4 with the OS 1.3/1.4. You can get the OS 1.4 from TI-Bank: http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=archives&ac=cat&id=OS+Nspire
If you have a basic TI-Nspire TouchPad, you need a clickpad keypad to make OS 1.7 work.
Thanks for the help, but first I'm trying a suggestion to try the dev version of ndless 2.0 and use OS 2.0, I have the non CAS nSpire touch with non cas touch and clickpads. OS 1.7 does work on a non CAS touch, but Ndless1.7 won't work with the touchpad model of the nspire even with a clickpad in it

Ndless 1.1 isn't officially supported any more, so newer programs won't work with it. If you really want it, you can get it here: http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=archives&ac=voir&id=1645Or, you could manually build the developer version of Ndless 2.0, instructions here: http://ourl.ca/8160[/quote] Thanks, old OS's were getting extremely old and I noticed unsupported by new programs as you said. EDIT: Sorry, my phone isn't too efficiant at posting quotes

Formatted my calculator via "Home+Enter+P then ON" and reinstalled 1.1, ndless still gives me the same error, it transfers the files but not even the demo works.

I installed a copy of 1.7 I downloaded a while ago and decided to update to ndless 1.7 and os 1.7, didn't turn out to good The touchpad calculator doesnt work with ndless even with the clickpad I have been using with 1.1. I kept 1.1 and reverted back to it, but now am stuck with ndless 1.7 which seems to only work with 1.7! Can someone give me a copy of ndless 1.1? Ps. cant wait for 2.1 (touchpad ) support on ndless!

I updated to to os 1.7 on my nspire touch to use ndless 1.7, only to find out the 1.7 os wont work properly on the nSpire touchpad calculator even if I use my clickpad, Ndless won't work ! I went back to os 1.1, and now I cant get ndless working on 1.1 or 1.7! Can someone give me the the version of ndless that works with os 1.1? I can't update to 1.7 even though I have a clickpad as you know, so I just need ndless 1.1. When I try to install ndless 1.7 on os 1.1 it loads forever, it is currently loading and has been loading for at least 30 minutes. ps. I've tried looking for OS's 1.3-1.4 but can't find those, I'm not asking for that though, only for ndless 1.1 pss. You gotta keep us touchpad users in mind , it would be highly useful if ndless 1.1 would be available for those of us stuck with 1.1 psss. Cant wait til ndless 2.1!
