I really dislike the new scroll bars. I thought Omnom was fucked up when I saw that my arrows to scroll up and down through the chat were missing. They don't even look like scroll bars, so I had no idea what they were... I am also unable to scroll up as far in the chat window using the scroll bars compared to the arrows. It only lets me scroll up a tiny bit. If you keep the scroll bars, I would change the color or something so it's more clear what they are. Otherwise it blends in with the chat window and just looks like there is blank space or that there is something missing on the side. Making the scroll bar smaller in would help too. It doesn't need to be so huge in such a small window. I would also suggest allowing the scroll bar to move up or down as much as the arrows did. Lastly, I wouldn't enable it by default. That is my personal preference, but also because that's the way Omnom has been for a very long time and what I would suspect most people are used to.

Yea, I'll agree. A map would've been a godsend for that game.

You mean to fill the energy tanks? I guess that's understandable. There are however items that completely refill your energy scattered throughout the maps.

I think I'd pretty much have to agree with DJ. I like and have only really played the old (Genesis) titles. The Game gear/ Master Sytem titles (at least the first two) were quite good as well. From what I've heard, general consensus among fans is that most of the 3d ones aren't that good unfortunately. I did play an rpg on the DS that seemed pretty neat though. There was also a 3ds title I bought, but it was pretty disappointing. I haven't even finished it.

wow i've never thought metroid 2 would've got any love... anyway i've added am2r to the poll because i want everyone to check it out and say it is better than the original (heck, i even think the demo is better than zero mission )
Yea, I think i stumbled onto am2r while googling for some Metroid II sprites. Since it isn't done, I haven't bothered with it yet. It looks really beautiful though. I really do love Metroid II. Everything is great about it to me. Graphics, Music (even though it's minimalistic) sound Fx, everything. They did a fantastic job bringing a console experience to the gameboy. Not only that, the game even has a creepy atmosphere. They totally nailed it. I remembieber one boss in Prime 1 or 2 that was really hard indeed.
Dat typo...

I think it's good to have one as a programmer, though, because it helps you beta-testing programs.
Yep, that's pretty much why I bought it. Now I just need an 83+ and my testing setup will be more or less complete, save for the obscure ones.
I think the TI-82 Stats has the same ROM as the 83 Parcus.
Did some reading, this seems indeed to be the case. In fact, the 83 Parcus and the 82 STATS are exactly the same machine. Which is good news for me, because I don't need to get an 82 STATS for the time being, then. They are way overpriced on the bay over here.
Indeed. As for the 82 Stats.Fr, I think the ROM is just translated to French with no other change, but the hardware is supposed to be different. IIRC it's similar to the 83+, but there is no way to install a 83+ OS on it without modifying the hardware to access the Flash or something I think.
And yeah 82 Stats prices are insane (it's nothing compared to 2009 Classpad 300 prices, tho. I remember seeing them for $380+ sometiems)
I actually lucked out and found one on Ebay for $24 with shipping.

This is a series I desperately need to catch up on. The only Metroid game I've ever actually beaten was the first one when I was a kid. Me and my best friend at the time sat down and beat it. I still have no idea how we managed back then. o.o. I really love Metroid II, but that game is massive and I've never been able to find all the Metroids to finish the game. Those are the only two I've really played. I have one for the Gamecube and one for the Wii somewhere (I think), but they are way down the queue list of games that need to be beaten. So anyway... I'd have to answer Metroid II for now. The first metroid game that will not feature the morphball will be the last metroid game ever released probably.
Too true... that would just be... weird. *Edit* Was hunters for NDS the multiplayer one? If so, that one was kinda meh... I added a poll. Duplicate entries and the compilation were left off.

Wow, this comes to a shock to me as well. Tribal was always a real chill dude when I talked to him. Suicide always hits me hard. I lost an Uncle to it early on it life. My condolences to the family. Not trying to offend here, but religion helps with depression. A lot of depression is caused by a subconscious awareness of guilt.
You can believe what you will, but I think your comment is out of place here.

That's looking quite nice will! At least make sure it's in a playable state by the deadline. Even if it's not finished, you can still submit it.

Hello Caleb. I've seen you around here and there. The wooden calc you made and posted on Cemetech looked fantastic! Anyhow, you are certainly welcome to enter, and I'm really glad to see another BASIC entry.
