To me it's just another portable gadget to play with. For others I'd guess:
-People think they are easier to use than a PC. -Usually they have larger screen than phones. -Angry Birds, and other portable gaming. -Watching videos/ internet/ebooks/social media etc. -More portable than a laptop? -The convience, (they do boot up awful fast). -To be Trendy I have a small one (more of a media player), but I hardly ever use it. I either have my shitty phone or sometimes a laptop with me. Oh, and I've no idea why someone would use one at home. If I'm in my room I use the PC. If I'm in the den, I can use my laptop. I guess they're kind of middle ground between a laptop and a phone and some people find them convenient and cool. and I guess if you didn't have a laptop you might use it at home for convenience. 1368
Other Calculators / Re: You still have time TI!« on: August 10, 2013, 07:39:50 am »
IIRC 20Mhz is about the max clock speed for a z80. The TI-84 +CSE is at 15. They'd have to change the processor to get more speed, and I don't see that happening anytime soon. They'd also have to rework the calc if they changed processors, and that means more money, and more time spent.

@Deep Thought: That looks fantastic! It looks very retro, reminds me of some screens I've seen of old Amiga games. I'd love to see that graphic style incorporated into a new game.

HP Prime / Re: [HP Prime] Color Tunnel clone (formerly color usage help thread)« on: August 08, 2013, 05:29:44 pm »
Wow, that's fantastic! I think I like it without the wait loops. That's like around the speed of ASM tunnel games on the z80 series.

I'm not surprised to see you recommend the ZX Spectrum. Thanks for the input.

Or just cope with it.^This. I'm gonna reuse the shell and keyboard and build something else in it probablyOoh, sounds neat! 1377
