The files you are trying to send over are Portal.8Xk and PortalPK.8Xv correct? Is your version of TI connect up to date?

Ok, so you are using this cable(see attached picture)? Your calculator is showing up in TI connect correct? What are you trying to send to it?

That doesn't seem to likely, but I guess it's possible. What cable are you using, and what happens when you open TI-connect with the calculator plugged in?

Welcome here Sym Undin. Yes, TIconnect does work with the TI-83+ Silver Edition. The easiest fix is usually fresh batteries. TI-connect doesn't like to work well if your batteries are low, or if you use rechargeables (they have lower voltage).

I got the mainbord still though, and it's still functional. I broke the screen of it during the 2006 TI-Freakware contest. That must've been some intense coding you were doing Jim! 1784

For some reason all your RAM isn't being reclaimed. I had this issue before as well. I don't remember how I fixed it. You should have about 24,372 free RAM (that is what I'm looking at on my 84+ SE).

Your 84+ SE should have more free ram than that if you have nothing in ram.
