A couple things: Is that the circles command you're using to draw the board and pieces (it seems to draw a bit differently). If so, are you using the fast circle trick?

Actually, the physics on the gbc game feel very different IIRC. Also, it is adjusted for the smaller screen.

I don't know about game genie support, but I kind of doubt it. As of yet there is no Genesis emulator.

I don't know about dead, but it hasn't been updated in quite a while. The current release is in a functioning state, but not all ganes are supported.
