Hmm.. I wonder why it's crashing. It would be nice to see this in a more completed state.

ASM / Re: Opcodes that should have been incorporated into the Z80 processor« on: February 06, 2013, 05:38:42 pm »@chickendude: I have thought about that, too o.o What if there was a way to refer to a specific shadow register, even if it were an extended instruction. This way you could do something like ex hl',hl or copy hl,hl'.Fun she says... Multiplication and division would have been nice tbh. 2088

(since every APP on their site seems to have it)Well, it wouldn't be terrible since we have a lot more screen space, but I'd guess the full screen can be used in ASM much like the 68k series. 2090

I like the Apogee style font. It's nice and legible, and I too think it'd be a shame not to make more use of it.

That's a really crummy system. I'm surprised they haven't had a lot of complaints about it.

Wow, nice call on this on DJ_O. You were talking about this only about a week ago, and now we have official news about it.
I'm a fan of the older design myself, but eh whatever. I'm not planning on purchasing a new TI-83+ any time soon. Also, it does seem that this might confuse people a bit. With the old design, it was easy to tell models apart. Now they all look really similar. *Edit* I didn't even know they updated the TI-73's design. I don't remember reading about it, and you never see them *anywhere*. 2094
TI-Boy SE - Game Boy Emulator For TI-83+SE/84 / Re: Official TI-Boy SE Beta Thread« on: February 01, 2013, 12:36:34 pm »
^This. Hex editing the Zelda Rom would be a huge pain in the ass unless you knew exactly where to look. It's also highly likely that removing the sound data would throw the rest of the Rom out of wack as the Rom would be looking in the wrong places for everything due to the missing data.

Apps are written in 16KB segments regardless of whether or not all the space is actually used. It wouldn't make any difference if the sound routines were removed. Also, welcome to Omnimaga! *ninjad*

Music Showcase / Re: Which song should I choose?« on: January 30, 2013, 05:20:21 am »
I think the the third song could be split into two if you want, the first half could serve as a lead in to the next song. I'm not sure how well the first half would hold up as a stand alone piece though. I'd have to listen again. The second half should stand alone fine though.

Gonna listen and post feedback. I'll edit this post.
As soon as I heard the second version, I instantly knew I liked it better. It has a more unique sound and stands out much more. The first version sounds a bit to similar to some of the other stuff in my humble opinion. I also listened to the other tracks already on the album. I'd suggest trying to shorten the intro on track 3: Influence from Beyond the Sky and perhaps add the bass in sooner. As a whole I think the album is comming along quite nicely. |
