Dunno, you should probably ask at Cemetech.

Yea, you get so many extra lives in 5 it's insane. I don't know if that was intentional or if they accidentally set the drop rate too high. And I agree about MM2. I've played that game to death and it doesn't get old for me. ^^

*edit*Aside from 5 being really easy (the bosses are programmed to be easy too) I still really enjoy it. It's pretty well designed aside from it being really easy.

ROM Hacking and Console Homebrew / Re: Hacking multi-game arcade boards
« on: January 10, 2013, 01:03:28 am »
Hey, welcome to Omnimaga! I'd say this is pretty much the right place to put this. Now when you say multi-game arcade boards are you reffering to like the atari controllers with a whole slew of games built in, Arcade machines with multiple games on them, or something else? I've never seen a topic here about such an endeavor, but that is not to say that no one here has attempted it.  What exactly are you wanting to do, modify it so you can run different games? It's probably doable, it just depends on how things are set up and if the board has writeable memory.

I see. I really like the art style. It looks like a pretty interesting story too. The characters gender is rather ambiguous looking. I thought it might be a guy, but a few things made me wonder if it was a girl instead. Guess my suspicions were justified in this case. :P

I would say 5 is the easiest. I think it has to do more with the fact that 2 gets the original formula down perfectly. It also lacks the charge shot and slide. Both of which largely changed the original series.

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Bug Reports
« on: January 09, 2013, 10:46:15 pm »
That sounds more like an issue of you running your calc on low batteries. The low battery msg is built into the OS, and it's no surprise that if it interrupts you while you are compiling something in Axe it would cause major issues. In the future:
1.) Always try to keep a backup on PC
2.) Keep fresh batteries.

I think 2, 9, and 6 are my favorites. If you ask most fans, they tend to cite Megaman 2 as being the best hands down. If you haven't played 2 yet you definitely should. :)

Cool idea. As the others have mentioned, sit down and plan things out first and test small things. It'll make it go a lot easier on you later on. :)

Casio Calculators / Re: TI basic converter
« on: January 09, 2013, 10:22:17 pm »
The other issues with such a converter is that while something might be a good programming practice on TI, it might not be on Casio. This could lead to very slow programs. Some commands probably don't work the same either which could cause converted programs to act very strangely. Unfortunately, such a converter would be a pretty large task and would require a lot of work to even be somewhat viable. :/

I'm not entierly sure, but I'd guess batteries for this aren't exactly cheap. :/
