The Axe Parser Project / Re: Axe Parser

I estimate it will take me about 20 hours to finish at the current rate I'm finishing problems (its only 4 problems by the way).  Despite being my hardest class, its still the most fun and I'm actually doing pretty well in it.  Wish me luck!
20 hours? Good Gravy man! I wish you the best of luck with it!

Miscellaneous / Re: End of activity peak?
« on: May 22, 2010, 08:12:36 am »
I wouldn't worry to much Omni, we're still going very strong. Also, that activity spike was pretty massive, so I don't think people will expect activity to always stay that high. :D

Other Calculators / Re: TI game console?

I think that with the TI Presenter though, we'll end up with a deeper understanding of direct USB on the 84+/SE and maybe have more compatibility with more devices. There are several usb8x bugs to be fixed.

I hope you're right, that would prove very usefull! =D

Art / Re: Zelda 8X8

Working in 8 X 8 it can be difficult to get decent detail, but you've done a fantastic job scaling these down! I did some 8 X 8 grayscale Zelda sprites a while back, but I'm not sure if I kept them or not... O_o

I think Builderboy pretty much nailed it. If you want to advertise something as pure BASIC, it means simply that. =)

Computer Programming / Re: My schoolwork got rejected...
« on: May 18, 2010, 08:28:03 am »
I don't have much experience with C++, but Quigbo does raise a very good point. Nice insight there! You should also remember that many teachers just know how to grade things based on how the course is laid out, IE they only have knowledge of/ teach what is outlined in the course, and may not have (much) experience on the subject outside of that, especially on the high-school level. It's unfortunate, but that is the way our public education system is in the U.S.

It looks ok for still pictures, but I can't really see it being used in games (though it would be cool).

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Your Projects - Post and Critique
« on: May 17, 2010, 03:00:47 am »
Heh that might be possible, although it would use a different engine.  What i have here is more of a fluid simulation, where as waterworks is more like a pinball simulation.  That and the lack of mouse control might make it a bit weird.  But it would be soooo coool ^^
I think it'd be uber cool! ^^.
