The Axe Parser Project / Re: Your Projects - Post and Critique
« on: May 16, 2010, 06:29:47 am »
So i was just fooling around the other day and i made this little fun fluid simulator :) It uses some very basic rules but it ended looking quite realistic (for a calculator that is) and it runs quite fast up to about 200 pixels of water :) Sometimes it acts weird though, so it might be considered more of a sand simulator than a water simulator.
Some how I missed this, but it looks really sweet! I'd like to see this demo developed further into some sort of (puzzle) game. I think you could do some really neat things with it! :D

General Discussion / Re: Most energetic songs you've discovered
« on: May 16, 2010, 05:29:53 am »
I'm almost afraid to listen... I'll update this post after i listen. Actually that was rather nice. Personally I wouldn't consider it super high energy though. When I imagine a song that is at the maximum end of high energy it requires a much higher tempo, although a song that has warm tones certainly contributes to the energy. Certain genres of Metal, punk, and techno do this, and i wouldn't really consider the example that you posted as an example of a song at maximum energy. Here's a few examples:
Mindless Self Indulgence is Not safe for work, (explicit lyrics) but the others should be fine.

I'm sure there are some better examples, but these are off the top of my head. I tend to like uptempo high adrenaline stuff so I've heard quite a bit in various genres.
Edit2: I'm sure Dj Omnimga could post some good examples from the techno genre. ^^.

I've wanted to test this thing anyway, but now I HAVE to. I must know if pressing the clear button Rick Rolls me. Speed looks a LOT better in the current screenshit DJ <s>Omnomnom</s> Omnimaga posted.

P.S. Oddly enough, I *may* have some old lobster sprites for a Space shooter game I was working on years ago.

TI-Boy SE - Game Boy Emulator For TI-83+SE/84 / Re: TI-Boy SE
« on: May 11, 2010, 08:11:05 am »
Yea, this project is really amazing. I don't know if you remember DJ, but there was a Gameboy emulator that came out for the TI-89 sometime ago. However, I think it was only Black and white, ran slowly, and had very poor compatibility. It was very underwhelming to say the least. If calc's rewrite allows it to function on the newer 84 models as well that will be quite an accomplishment.
