Alot of old school RPG's had invisible passages that lead to chest, or invisible items in various places (on the ground, behind a house etc) the idea is that you have a command or a button that you can press to "search" directly in front of you. In this case, you could still keep the chest as a a solid object as well (or not, and just make it more secretive), so it would still halt your movement if you bumped into it. Even the pokemon games have something like this implemented. It's kind of like a reward for exploring and being curious. =D

My first thought was that it might've been a calc project too. The latest forum activity box doesn't show where the topic is posted. I'd have to agree that it would be nice to have both games included in the finished zip.

Ah that's interesting. That opens up the possibility for chests or other items to be submerged(and not visible) in the water (if you had implemented something like that).

It appears that Maya(that was the character's name right?) is walking through water in the screen shot in the upper left. Is that actually possible in game, and does it require a special item?

Oh that looks really cool. It'll definitely be a winner if there are explosives... reminds me of playing Goldeneye back it the day. =D

I think those are just screen mock-ups at the moment, but with it being that graphical I can't imagine him making it without the use of a utility (X-LIB, Celtic etc.).

Ah, I remember that feature on the old board where you could check the activity of who was viewing the board. Didn't realize you could check it on this new one too.

In Trading card games; Removed from game or Remove from game. In this case he's referring to AP's website "Removed from game". =D

Geekboy mentioned the Yu-Gi-Oh! fix. Here's the magic one.
Magic Workstation. Free to use, but you can pay a one-time fee for the full version. I really never saw a need to upgrade, it works fine without it.
Note that both programs don't come with the pictures due to the huge size so you'll have to download them separately if you want them.
I'll have full tutorials posted on RFG later if you're having any issues with either program.
SPECIAL NOTE: Additional YGO solution: KCVDS Registration is only up for this weekend then it'll be back down for awhile so register now. This is a much prettier, cooler YGO program. Just Youtube "KCVDS" if you want to see it. I'll be focusing on using this program on RFG for YGO but I'll use YVD too, of course.
As for the progress on RFG, it's delayed for a little bit. I'll get back to writing tomorrow. I've just been sore and had some stuff to deal with IRL today so I took the rest of today off.
KCVDS huh? Must be newer. I'll have to check it out when I have some time. I actually had almost $200 worth of Magic deck, but it was lost while moving... :'( and after that, I never dared to buy the card again (once I start buying them, I'm afraid I'll be addicted again and spend more money)
You wouldn't believe how much money I sunk into Yu-gi-oh back when I was obsessed with it. It was ridiculous! =(

Yea, Ultima was the other old RPG that came to mind (visually) but I'm more familiar with the Dragon warrior series. The amount of things that were possible in those old Ultima games is simply mind boggling.

I don't usually play these kinds of games, but I felt compelled to post. The team working on this game is really doing a nice job, the graphics are really sharp! Is BuckeyeDude handling all the coding? Buckeye Dude and I both are, and we might have a third from time to time (long story). But because I'm not fluent in ASM, I'm lack the skill at optimizing graphics, so he's doing all the coding for the tilemap and sprite routines. He's also editing anything I write that could be optimized more.
Ah ok, that seems it'll work out pretty good.
