Likely you would still have to provide your own calculator ROM though.

There's a program at www.ticalc.org that rips the ROM from your calculator. I think it's called ROM 8X. It shouldn't be too hard to find, and I believe it was fairly easy to use.
*Edit spelling, argh!*

It really was a tough decision this year! This is one of the strongest Program Of The Year showings we've seen in quite a while!

Program Of The Year voting has started over at www.ticalc.org! Head over and check it out!

This year will have a lot of competition compared to the previous two years. There are more entries for the entire POTY run time than 2006 and 2008 combined together.

Other Calculators / Re: History of the TI community

I was searching around wikipedia and I couldn't find any articles about the history of the TI community. So I got to thinking, what if the community got together and started writing one?
Well what do you guys think of the idea?
I love the idea, don't care where it gets posted. =)

Personally, I don't think it would have that much interest. I doubt I'd even give it a glance myself. :( Sorry.

Mine is Hardware Version 1.00 running OS Version 2.09. The most recent game I put on there was Lachprog's Metroid. The only time I had trouble running a game was Arroneus the greats Doom I think. I don't remember. It was one of his First person games.

There was actually an online emulator a while back that someone was working on. It was posted on Ticalc, but I dont remember how complete it was. It may have actually been a regular TI-83 emulator. I can't remember. It's been a while.

Hmm... the way you have the program designed I see what you mean. That sux. It wouldn't be very practical to redraw the health bar every frame after recalling the picture either. It's ok the current design you have seems to fit into your program alot better. I'll just have to get used to it. =)

This is looking really nice. I'm looking forward to being able to test a playable version. I do have a suggestion though. It appear that your life bar starts out completely white and turns black at the top of the bar and fill towards the bottom as you take damage. This seems a bit confusing to me. I might do it the other way around. Have it black and filled from top to bottom and have it slowly erase from the top to bottom. In other words, invert the colors. Completely white looks empty, and like you are out of health to me. Just my thoughts anyway. =) Keep up the great work, this is looking really excellent!

I don't know if they package them with instruction manuals anymore, If I remember right, when my brother got his ti-84+SE 2-3 years ago it didn't come with one. It shouldn't be that big of a deal though. They should all be available for Texas Instruments website in pdf format. Personally I prefer my Old TI-89. Grayscale looks the best on the old one. =) It does have less memory though. As far as price goes I'm not sure. I haven't priced them in a while, but they were around 150 USD last time I checked.

TI Z80 / Re: Sprite/tileset Editor- need input

I'd have to agree, I think being able to export a map as a .bmp would be really cool. If you have support for making maps that is. =)
*edit* I see that you already have a map maker planned for this as well. I think grayscale would be a must. Importing sprites of variable size from a .bmp would be nice too.
