Yea, ticalc's archive were pretty lax back in the day (as were the other popular sites). It's funny though. You'd think a company like Texas Instruments would thoroughly check out any content they were endorsing before releasing it with a product. In regards to copyright issues most companies don't seem to care about fan projects overall (it depends on the quality, content, method of distribution ect.) much less on such a limited system.

I know this is a bit of a necropost, but I came across this last night (while wandering the interwebs) and it brought a smile to my lips! Congrats to Kevin and Tr1plea! =) This also proves that their are females on the internets, and that they play games on their graphing calculators (as it was a woman who wrote the article.)

Nah, I want it all!(although Kevin said you can utilize it all with an ASM lib anyway) That, and 158x76 isn't divisible by standard 8x8 12x12 or 16x16 sprites. 160x100 is better as the horizontal is divisible by those(except 12) even though the vertical isn't. By the way, is that gif in your sig a preview of your upcoming game? I'm liking the Slayers inspired graphics.

Miscellaneous / Re: What I've been up to« on: December 04, 2009, 10:49:42 am »Nice to see you still around. To be honest, I wasn't too happy when you left because I don't really like when someone joins staff then suddently dissapears without ever saying anything, not even responding to PMs asking why, though.Yea, sorry about just up and vanishing out of the blue. It wasn't really intentional... weeks became months time just passed. I was absolutely ok with you downgrading me to a regular member, and your reasoning as to why I left was correct as I had mentioned it to you before, just didn't announce it officially. I have no Idea why you were googling voice acting, O_o but if you came across my name it was likely me as I do have an account on a voice acting board under the same name. =) Nice to see everyone is still very welcoming! Thanks for the warm reception guys! =) As for Illusiat and Grendel, it's a shame on both accounts. ![]() *Edit* As I said, I'd like to work on a couple of games... just time and motivation involved... well you know how that can be. ![]() ![]() 5318

Miscellaneous / What I've been up to« on: December 04, 2009, 07:40:48 am »
Hello everybody! I see alot of new faces here so some of you may not know me. I used to be staff here and have been keeping up with the TI community on and off since 98. Anyhow, around June or so I disappeared. I hadn't completed any recent projects and had kind of lost interest. I also started doing amateur voice acting around that time period and that has been taking up some of my free time. I really enjoy it and it's something I am currently pursuing. However, portable platforms have always held a certain allure for me, and I can't ever seem to leave them behind. I blame my parents for getting me that original gameboy back in 1989. There have been alot of great works going on since I've been gone. Calcmaniac continues to amaze with TI-BOY and chips challenge 8 lvl grayscale (which btw looks great on my TI-83+ BE, but doesn't work properly on my TI-83+SE. If no one has documented this I'll post a video of it later), not to mention F-Zero or TI-BOY for the Nspire(eventually) that is being written in ARM ASM now. =) Iambian continues to press forward with The Lost Legends (renamed Shadows of Escheron now? What ever happened to Grendel anyway?) which also looks amazing. I am glad someone that is dedicated to it finally picked it up! =) And lets not forget Illustait (spelling?) 13. It's a shame it isn't finished yet, which is the only reason I have yet to play it. Ah well maybe someday.

TI-Nspire / Re: TI-Nspire GB Emulator« on: December 03, 2009, 11:36:31 am »didn't original GB's hurt your eyes anywaysYou've got it bassackwords, the Nspire's resolution is 320x240 ![]() and for the NES on NTSC (North American) titles only 256x224 resolution was used. Oh, and just for comparison sake, the Nintendo DS's resolution is 256x192 per screen. Oh, and Hiya anyone who remembers me! =) 5323
