I was wondering because if they are not stackable that would be a factor in deciding how many items would be allowed in inventory(though personally I like the idea of non-stackable as it does make i more realistic and there is a banking system implemented in this game). Also, will there be one collective inventory or will it be as in say the "Mother"(earthbound USA) RPG series where each character has their own inventory and items are tradeable between characters? If the latter inventory could potentially be smaller per person.

Boss PQ2 Contest details__________________________
An attack outline. What does it do? The game handles attacks in an order by 8. That means it does up to eight things in a certian order over and over. (ie, it'll punch, kick, punch, heal, cast a spell, kick, punch, and heal again, then repeat that sequence.) You are free to create your own ideas for attacks, and I can try to fit them in the best I can. Keep in mind the scope of the game allows max Health for players to reach 999, but that's incredibly difficult to achieve. Also note that attack damage is either "Physical" or "Mental" and there are two traits that reduce damage taken by either type.
Do you mean the enemy does all 8 things over the course of a single turn, or that the enemy has 8 different possible actions it can conduct only one of which will happen per turn, or that over the course of 8 turns it will execute each action once per turn in a specific order ?
I would also like more details on the battle system and was also wondering if there were status conditions in this game (IE paralyze, confuse, sleep, poison etc.)? Finally, what is the setting? Modern times, Ancient times, future, Albania, Canadia, USA etc.?

Are items going to be stackable in your inventory?

Random would certainly be eaiser. If you can see the enimies it would make it more like The old ultmia games or Zelda II

It's going to be pure BASIC, as Xlib or celtic isn't really need for such a thing and would make the size huge. XD I don't have any plans to do linkplay.

I haven't done much programming wise latley, so I decided I'd do something fairly simple to get back into the groove of things. I've been working on a Blackjack card game in my spare time for the past few days.
It's in TI-BASIC (83+ Series) and is about 25% completed I'd say. My goal is to keep it between 2kb-2.5kb for the program and variables.
Planned Features:
-Actual simulated 52 card deck with suits(done)
-Keeps track of money and wins and losses
-Graphical(partially done)
-5 card charlie

>_> 3 level would be faster and such.  And since i'm nub at optimization, three level will be slow enough.
You should talk to Tr1p1ea he's a master at grayscale, and 4 levels is hella fast now. He's working on redoing his Desolate game with 8 level. O_o Also, that way you wouldn't have to convert any sprites at all!

Nice stuff omni! Seeing this old stuf still amazes me. The first vid was really insane, but the second one wasn't as bad. I still have problems in opera download for some strange reason. The first one downloaded fine, but I had to use IE for the second one. I'm still waiting for my ROL 4 >_>. *hint**hint* ;D
